Single Mamas: How to Pamper Yourself During Pregnancy
Congratulations on your pregnancy! It's an exciting time full of a lot of changes ahead, but you'll be amazing. Whether you're single and pregnant by choice or circumstance, there is no reason you can't love this journey and take the time to pamper yourself for the next 40 weeks.
Pampering yourself during pregnancy is something I think all pregnant mamas should make time for! It's good for your body, and your body is doing a lot right now. Growing humans is no joke!
So, single mamas, take time to pamper yourself during your pregnancy. It's important for your health and happiness, and here are a few ways to do it:
Splurge at least once, if you can
I know not everyone has the budget to do all the things on their wish list, but if you're able to save and splurge on at least one item, whether that be a maternity photo shoot, a killer pair of maternity jeans, or a pillow to help you sleep better, do it.
Go out with friends
Whether you're pregnant and single by choice or circumstance, you should still have a happy, full life with your friends! Just because you're gestating doesn't mean you can't have fun, and having the support of friends is important, even if you're not a single mama.
Get a pedicure
Feet hurt when you're pregnant, and as you near the end of the pregnancy when bending over seems to be impossible, that pedicure can be a real treat for you. If you're able to, schedule one or two during your pregnancy for both the pamper factor and because your feet will just thank you. Combine it with tip #2 and make a girlfriend date out of it.
Allow yourself plenty of rest
If you have older children, enlist the help of family/friends or a babysitter to help out with the older kids so you can get a little more rest, because pregnancy is exhausting. Put your feet up as much as you can and sleep in a little extra for some self-care pampering.
Stay positive and surround yourself with happiness.
Pregnancy can be a scary time, and some may find it more so when they're facing it without a partner, but stay positive! Surround yourself with people who will support you, love you, and have that same positive outlook on what's to come, and it can really make a big difference in your overall outlook throughout pregnancy. Pamper yourself through your happy vibes. That's great advice whether you're single or not.
