4 Celebrity Moms Who Didn’t Love Pregnancy
I was blessed with two really great pregnancies. Both times, I sailed through 40 weeks with some aches and pains, leg cramps, snoring, and other not-so-fun aspects. But all in all, I enjoyed carrying my babies; however, lots of people aren't as lucky. It's pretty common for women to feel out of sorts during their pregnancies, and that's the same with celebrities. Here are a few celebrities who did not enjoy those nine months.
Jenni “JWoww” Farley is expecting her first child this spring, but it hasn't been a fun pregnancy. “Pregnancy and me don’t mix,” she wrote. “I keep saying to myself, ‘How can women enjoy this s–t?!' I’m always on edge because every appointment I find something else that’s crazy and unexpected.”
Last summer, Kim Kardashian gave birth to North, her first child, about five weeks early—an appropriate end to an unpleasant pregnancy. Kim told Ryan Seacrest, “I was waiting for this amazing experience where I could just do whatever I want, eat whatever I want, feel great, and it just hasn’t been that way. I haven’t had morning sickness, so I’ve heard that I’m really lucky, and I feel lucky, it’s just really painful everywhere. Seriously, it’s not even an emotional [thing]—it’s like a pain, physically.”
Hilary Duff admitted she had a great pregnancy when she was carrying her son, Luca Cruz, two years ago. However, like most women, enough was enough. “To be totally honest, I had a really easy pregnancy, and I did enjoy a lot of it,” Hilary told Parade magazine after she gave birth in 2012. “But a part of me isn’t like those women who love being pregnant. I love my baby, and I miss that feeling of being attached to him when he’s kicking, but I was so ready to not be pregnant.”
Actress Melissa Joan Hart loves pregnancy—except for the whole being pregnant part! The mom of three (all boys!) told PEOPLE, “I would have seven babies if I didn’t have to be pregnant,” she said. “I hate being pregnant—the lack of energy at the beginning [and] having to change your diet. It’s a huge adjustment, and you have to change your whole lifestyle for a few months.”
