Baby Names From the Future

My handsome, geek of a husband has inspired a love of science fiction within me. Our son's name was selected from a sci-fi movie, and we have other baby name ideas for number two (which are mostly also from sci-fi.) I gathered a list of some of my favorites to share with you all. Some are cutting edge names straight from the future, while others have a more traditional flair. I hope you enjoy!
Dana — Dana Scully, X Files
The return of this show may bring a resurgence to this name!
Delenn — Delenn, Babylon 5
If you're looking for something very unique to name your baby girl, this pretty name could be it!

River – River Tam, Firefly/Serenity
Honestly, this one was hard for me to include! If we have a baby girl for number two, this will likely be her name.
Elim — Elim Garak, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
According to the Bible, Elim was one of the places where the Israelites camped following their Exodus from Egypt. I think it makes for a strong, unique boy name!
Gwen – Gwen Cooper, Torchwood
This is such a pretty name, and you could go with Gwendolyn, if you wanted something longer and more formal.
Roland — Roland Deschain, The Dark Tower
This name is a bit older sounding, but it would definitely be cute for a baby boy.

One of my favorite people is named Deanna, so I think this would make an excellent name choice!
