5 Must-Not-Miss Packing Tips for Traveling with Kids
Vacationing with kids is typically not stress-free. Just the task of packing can be rather daunting and if you are anything like me you put it off to the night before your trip. Here are some helpful and amazing tips to make packing for a short or long trip by plane, car, bus, or train easier.
Blogger and mother of three boys, Ashley of I Love You More Than Carrots, shared with her readers an easy way to pack for multiple kids for a trip. She uses large freezer Ziploc bags to pack each day's worth of clothes for each child.
Each of these bags is packed with a full day's worth of clothes for each of the boys from a matching shirt and pants with socks down to what they'll be wearing to bed for the night. Since the baby tends to go through more than one outfit during the day, his baggies are packed with two sets of day clothes and two sets of jammies.

I have a canvas bag that I filled with snacks, books, crayons, leap pad, etc. We also would load up a Kindle Fire with digital movie codes and apps that didn't require wifi.
We don't go anywhere without audiobooks. Our kids favorites are The Magic Treehouse series.
I try to pack something kinetic, audible, a book/visual, and something to write/draw with. Then I cycle between the various activities. The items tend to be light enough to easily pack for car or plane and keeps their attention on rotation.
Don't Pack Everything
When we got on longer trips instead of packing essentials, such as diapers and wipes, I pick them up at a local store or have Amazon deliver to our final destination. This often saves time and valuable space.
