5 Easy, Low-Cost, Healthy Meals for Your Family!

With six young kids in the home, I know how hard it can be to stay dedicated to preparing healthy meals for the family. When that dreaded 5 o'clock “witching hour” hits, it is far easier to get on the phone and order a pizza or throw a couple of frozen dinners into the oven than it is to start prepping and cooking a “real meal.” But those delivery and processed meals can really break the family budget, not to mention they don't deliver the nutritious “punch” that you are looking for to help little bodies grow.

The solution to this problem, my friends, lies in planning ahead. If you set aside just 30 minutes each week to plan out your dinners for the coming week–write out a grocery list that includes the ingredients you'll need, and make sure that you use the list while at the store–you'll be all set! Each morning, after feeding the kids breakfast, check to see what you've planned for dinner, and take care of any prep (chopping veggies, defrosting meat, etc.) while you are cleaning up those breakfast dishes.

Is it too early for me tomsay that my daughter is not a picky eater? She eats whatever we offer.

My child is so picky. I just keep introducing things to him with the hopes that he’ll eventually like what we offer. These sound like good options.
