Whether you've decided to have your children close together in age or it was a total surprise that you're pregnant again, there will be some challenges you face. Some doctors don't recommend having small spaces between pregnancies, but having lived it myself with my older two children being only 14 months apart, I can tell you it's not all bad.

There is no doubt that being pregnant basically feels like forever, and it can really drain your body. Same sized diapers and clothes.

When my older two kids were 18 and 14 months old, they both hit the same sized diaper and there was no more going to the store and buying two packs of different sizes. Or worse, only having the smaller size and running out of diapers for the older one. I was able to buy in bulk and know nothing was going to go to waste.

Your body becomes yours again.

By the time my first child was 5 months old, I was already expecting again. This means I didn't have a whole lot of time to lose the baby weight, but it also meant I didn't finally get it done, only to get pregnant again.

The tough phases are done together.

You know how labor and birth are hard and really painful, but mothers always say they forgot the moment it was over? That can't be said about certain parenting phases like sleep deprivation, teething, or anything to do with a 2-year-old. When you have children close in age, those phases are really close together–sometimes you have two teethers at the same time. While that may sound like it would be horrible, it also means you'll be over with them faster.
