4 Outdoor Games Your Toddler Will LOVE!

My kids love to play outside. It seems once the weather gets to a particular consistent temperature, you'll find them outside more than in. It's fun to see all the neighborhood children playing together, and this year, my youngest is old enough to actually play outside, too.

Now that he's 18 months old, he wants to spend every second running around in the grass and discovering new ways to get dirty. While most of the time he's sliding, running, and digging through dirt, there are some times where more structured playing – something all my kids can do together – is what he really wants to do.

Hide and Seek

Since your toddler is probably still learning how to count, you'll need to help, or you can come up with another way to allow the hiders to hide (set a timer on your phone). This game will encourage your toddler to run, be active, and be creative when it's his turn to hide. It's a great game for every age and can work well with as little as 2 people and up to as many as you want.

Bubble Chase

Toddlers and bubbles go together like peanut butter and jelly. If you don't like to play them indoors (hello, slip hazard), there are so many ways you can play with bubbles outside.

Try follow that bubble or bubble chase where your toddler is to follow a bubble and try to pop it. It's fun when you can get different sizes and shapes of bubbles because your toddler will go crazy for it!
