It's over when it's over … except in Hollywood. In the celebrity world, split-ups are often nasty affairs, but for a few celebrity couples, marriage has ended on a much friendlier note.

Check out these four Hollywood couples who didn't make it to forever but remain forever friends (until their kids are grown, at least).

Singer and child star Hilary Duff, 26, and her husband, former NHL player Mike Comrie, 33, married three years ago but decided to separate in January 2014. The couple have one son together, Luca, 2, which is probably one reason the two stayed so close. They have been spotted since the separation with their son at baseball games and Disneyland. “They remain best friends and will continue to be in each other's lives. They are dedicated to loving and parenting their amazing son,” a rep for Mike and Hilary said after their split. Recently, Hilary's sister, Haylie, told E! News that there may be a chance the couple rekindles their relationship (no divorce papers have been filed.) “I think they're doing great, and they're just taking their time. They're young, you know? So they're not putting stress to figure out which way it's going to go,” Haylie said.

When Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr and actor Orlando Bloom separated in 2013, they made a point to stay friendly with one another for the sake of their son, 3-year-old Flynn. Soon after their split was announced, the pair was seen in NYC, and, in fact, spent the first Christmas after their separation in the same house with their son. “It's difficult for anyone to go through a separation, whether it's on a public scale or not. It was important for us to preserve our friendship and the dynamic of being loving parents to Flynn, so we dealt with everything honestly,” Miranda told the Mirror. This support system has continued, although there was some recent drama involving the couple and an unlikely third wheel: Justin Bieber.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are one of the biggest post-divorce success stories in Hollywood. The pair split almost 15 years ago but still remain friends and co-parent their daughters, Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout. The former flames, who divorced in 1998 after a decade of marriage, have both since re-married–Demi Moore to Ashton Kutcher in 2005 (followed by a split in 2011) and Bruce Willis to Emma Heming in 2009. Bruce and Demi aren't only friends, they are neighbors, too. Last year, Bruce Willis bought an $8 million apartment in the same NYC building Demi has lived in for years.

Courtney Cox and David Arquette seemed like the perfect, fun-loving couple during their 11-year marriage. After they separated in 2010, Courtney and David stayed friends in order to co-parent their daughter, Coco. The pair didn't finalize the divorce for three more years. Courtney told More magazine that they tried hard to make it work. “We were married for a long time, so it's not like we didn't try. Obviously, kids always want their parents to be together. […] As divorces go, this is the best one we could provide,” Courtney said. Both couples have moved on. April brought a new son for David with his long-time love, Christina McLarty, and in June, Courtney announced her engagement to Johnny McDaid.
