Pregnant & Looking Great!

If hot pants and boy shorts are not your style, never fear. There is still a lot to embrace.

This includes:

  • Leggings, like Preggers, plus a cute tunic are stylish and comfortable — a must during pregnancy.
  • Get a maxi dress, or two, or three. Baby bumps never looked better than in a flowing dress that fits you comfortably while showing off your new curves.
  • Bikinis are back. Some can pull this one off. Some can't (that would be me).
  • Baseball type fan tees, boyfriend jeans, and a pair of flats? Sounds like perfect maternity clothing to me!
  • There has never been a better time to have fun with fashion, even during pregnancy. This spring, prints and bright colors are in. Take advantage of the trend with patterned pants or skirts, and pairing them with a basic top.
  • Top off tanks and other form fitting shirts with a chic bomber jacket.
  • Patched, ripped, and torn jeans. A good pair of pregnancy jeans will keep you in style during (and after) pregnancy.
  • Vintage. Fashion doesn't have to cost a fortune. Visit a local thrift store, and you just may find some deals, as well as some vintage clothing and/or accessories that will have you stylin' this spring.

Right now I’m in the 11 week fat and bloated stage, and do not yet have a little baby bump or look pregnant. I know its all part of the deal, but it has made me self conscious! I’ve stuck to loose, comfortable clothes for now! Plus I’m still in that first trimester hell!!

  2. Alycia says:

The hardest part is having the energy to make myself look good! Lol. Good thing I’m moving to San Diego and can just be a beach whale for a while.

  3. mommy nhoj says:

Didn’t and dont wanna try the bikini though. 🙂 i’ve kept my maternity clothes for future use 🙂

  4. Casey Kerver says:

i don’t look good in a bathing suit before pregnancy so no way i will look good during

I think comfort is very important but their is no reason why comfort cant be sexy! Long sweaters and leggings have been my staple the last couple of weeks and will be until its warm enough for flowy dresses. I had most of these already and just picked up a few pieces here and there at consignment shops, clearance racks and even drug stores. When im home and wearing sweats and such i dont feel as good as when i have on something nice

  6. sheenaholman says:

Im sorry but some of these I dont think are good for pregnant women.

  7. Marilyn says:

I’ve been wearing maxi dresses so far, but the cold weather is coming. I just might have to find some cheap maternity clothes. They are so expensive!

  8. MzKiesha says:

    Cute shirts, dresses, and leggings.

  9. Lulu says:

Maternity clothes that were within my budget were hard to find in my area. Some searching revealed some awesome deals though.

I will be doing the same thing. lol No 2 pieces for me. I deliver in later July.

  14. Janice says:

A few things are a must, but i did not spend a lot, on me.

  15. Janice says:

financial sound, shopping why spend money on clothes you are going to get rid of.

lucky to be a stay at home mom. dress comfortably and feel great

  17. I hate not being comfortable in anything other than sweatpants! I don’t mind going to work, but my office wear just isn’t comfortable anymore, no matter how many new work outfits I buy =[

  18. AmyC says:

Lucky for me most of my shirts were able to stretch with me and I found some pants long enough (I’m quite tall and my budget is too small for the specialty shops) at a resale shop.

  19. hannah83 says:

Buying warm maturity clothes for the winter.

  20. JamJam says:

im lucky, my style is very hippie so pretty much all my clothes are baggy dresses and hippie skirts havnt had to buy one maternity outfit yet!!!

  21. ErinF says:

I started shopping for maternity clothes at Goodwill and the clearance racks at Target, and came home with several adorable tops and a tankini for less than one item would have cost at a maternity retail store. I’d love to find some flattering dresses and skirts as well; I’ll be mapping out thrift stores any time I visit somewhere else!

  22. it’s hard sometimes u r not able to do anything and pregnancy puts you down
