My Pregnancy Week 7

Brought to you by
Pregnancy Week 7

Can you believe your baby has doubled in size since last week? By week seven, your little one measures approximately one-third of an inch long and has developing arms and legs, along with teeny, tiny hands and feet. Your baby also has an appendix, intestines, a pancreas, and a liver. Both hemispheres of your baby's brain are growing. Nasal pits are forming. Overall, it's a big week for growth!

This week, your baby's eyes will also start to become more fully formed, and now have a retina and lens attached. Thin veins will also begin to appear underneath your baby's translucent skin.

You may have heard that embryos have something like a small tail. This is true! It is an extension of the tailbone, and each week it is becoming smaller and smaller until, in a few short weeks, it will disappear entirely.

And though your baby's genital tubercle is present, and his or her sex was determined at conception, it is still too early to determine whether you are having a girl or a boy just by sight.

We gave up this past January and planned our life around one child, however, God had a different plan. I have been sick everyday all day and its horrible, but I am excited.

    Hi all,
First time writing a post but love reading everyones, I’m 6 weeks pregnant and concerned with hormone levels. In January had a miscarriage due to low projesterone so this time I’m testing hcg and projesterone every week just to be safe. My hcg has gone up to over 4000 ( awesome) but my projesterone drop from 21 to 17 which is still a safe number but of course I’m concerned. My insurance doesn’t start until Sept 12th and I do. It have $ 800 to go to Dr’s for initial visit, so I’m wondering if anyone has experienced projesterone drops? I know fluctuation is normal but how much is normal? I plan to get blood work done again on thursday.

I am almost 22 yrs old… and around my 7th week pregnant. I ALWAYS feel exhausted and tired. Makes it hard ti work 12 hour shifts on weekends as well. I can barely stay awake them days… I also get that sick feeling throughout the entire day but nothing I do helps.. idk what to else to try.. makes it hard everyday to go through it..

    • heather says:

      B12. Works wonders

    • Jasmine says:

Hi I am in the same predicament. I am 20 with my first child in week 7 of my pregnancy. I was told that the prenatal vitamins would help with the energy boost but I’ve only stated them yesterday. I was told that whenever I did get tired go ahead and rest up instead of trying to fight it.

  8. cassie says:

Is slight spotting normal at this point? First dr appt isnt until the end of next week and I should be about 9 weeks then. Tomorrow should start week 8 for me. I didnt have spotting with my other pregnancies. Im not cramping at this point. Please pray for us 🙁

  9. cassie says:

This isnt my first pregnancy and I noticed im gaining weight sooner than I did with my other pregnancies. I may even be eating healthier this time around. Also, when I found out I am pregnant this time around im about 6 lbs heavier than with my last two pregnancies (was 106 with the others when I found out). Could I possibly have two buns in my oven? Grandma said they run on her side and my aunt told me she had conceived twins but lost them but no twins for any of us since. Has anybody had a pregnancy, then twins and noticed weight gain sooner? Maybe im just getting older and uterus larger from previous children???

  10. Caitlin says:

This is my first pregnancy I am very excited, but very sick and very weak. What will help?

    • Megan Klay says:

Hi Caitlin – Do your best to eat regularly and consume healthy foods – fruits, veggies, and meats. Drink lots of water! And get some exercise, even if it’s just walking. Best wishes!

  11. This is my first pregnancy, very excited n nervous. Not having nauseous just hungry. I did started alittle bleeding this Saturday and got really worry, went to emergency, found out I’m O Negative and needed a shot to protect my baby and me. 15. I’m 21 this is my first pregnancy in a couple days I will be 7 weeks. I get morning sickness at night and if I don’t eat something every couple hours I feel sick the cramping has gone away now from the baby attaching to the uterine wall. I’ve experienced motion sickness from very large mirrors and I have found that chocolate milk cures my upset stomach

  16. Jacqueline says:

im 6 week and I have bleeding; this is my first baby; I have PCOS cyst on my ovaries and it has been hard through out the years to get pregnant and I also learn my amniotic fluid is low; Im not having any pain lke a feel a like a pitch or something every blue moon; My baby heart beat is where is suppose to be; but its to early to determine anything at this time; I put my trust in God that he will provide for me and my little one. But if ANYONE has experience this could you please share your outcome. Which I pray was good.
