My Body – Pregnancy Week 28

Brought to you by
Pregnancy Week 28

Congratulations! You made it to the third trimester!

How are you feeling? The average weight gain by week 28 is 17-24 pounds. Don't worry if yours is a little more, or less. If you have any concerns, as always, speak to your healthcare provider. In your last trimester, you should be seeing your healthcare provider every two weeks, so there should be plenty of opportunities to raise any concerns that you might have. In fact, it's a good idea to keep a pad and pen with you to jot down any questions. Having a list of questions at your appointment is a great way to make sure all of your concerns are addressed.

If any high-risk situations are detected on a routine visit, like preeclampsia, Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH), gestational diabetes, or placenta previa, you may be asked to visit your physician more often.

So I am in my third trimester and I’ve not gained a lot of weight. Is this normal? Is there something wrong with my baby girl?? I don’t see my doc until next Friday. Scared to death please help. 🙁

My husband asked for a divorce the other day im so worried because my baby girl has been under alot of stress my entire pregnancy. I traveled to family for my baby shower and he has called saying he’s going to file. We were so excited about baby so im not sure now my baby shower is ruined and the military isnt helping me as a military spouse. Super stressed

I’m so sorry to hear, Kimberly. Try to take things one day at a time and know that your baby girl will have you and you will be an amazing mama. Thinking of you!

I am 28 weeks and have gained a total of 10 lbs. I wasn’t gaining any weight at first but now I gained 10 lbs. in the last month. I was a little nervous because to me that is a lot of weight in a month but I know that it is my son growing. Doctor thinks he is going to be on the big side, I am just hoping that he is healthy!
