My Body – Pregnancy Week 19

Brought to you by
Pregnancy Week 19

How are you feeling? At this point, people can probably tell that you are pregnant. It's important to remember that, as your body grows and makes room for your little one, you are also producing much more blood for the both of you to use. This lowers your blood pressure, and standing up quickly may cause some dizziness or make you feel lightheaded. This is called postural hypotension, yet another way your body reminds you to take it more slowly. You may also be experiencing “hot flashes,” which is a result of all that extra blood volume and hormones in your body.

Are you noticing some skin changes? These are hormone-related changes, and will usually go away after child birth. Your skin might be dry or flaky, or you may have the “mask of pregnancy,” which is known by blotchy patches on your forehead, cheeks, nose, and/or chin. Drink lots of water, and be sure to eat a healthy, balanced diet.

This is my first pregnancy and it has been the worst!! I’ve been in for Iv fluids twice lost 18 lbs in a month and a half. And now that I’m finally not puking as much at 19 weeks I’m now going on a week for this migraine and can’t get rid of it. I finally gained 1 lb. But still 17 under pre pregnancy weight. Find out in 3 1/2 weeks what we are having at our wedding 🙂

Im 19 weeks pregnant. This is my third pregnancy. I have only gained two pounds so far. Is this normal? Baby is on track as far as his growth.

Pregnancy is probably the easiest thing I’ve ever experienced. I have had no morning sickness, no heartburn…I feel pretty much normal other than the fact that my tummy is getting bigger. The only symptoms I’ve had are tiredness and crankiness. I still work a full 5-9 hour work day (on my feet the ENTIRE time). I am always active as I always have been. That is the most important thing-staying active. Pregnancy is not a reason to get lazy and unhealthy…it is the complete opposite!
