My Pregnancy Week 11

Brought to you by
Pregnancy Week 11

Starting with this week, the baby is now officially called a fetus. Your baby has continued to grow. Now almost two inches long, your little one has been engaged in some heavy acrobatics, kicking, and stretching inside your womb. Remember, even though she is getting bigger, it may be some weeks before you feel her moving around.

His skin, though still paper thin and transparent, is forming a protective barrier around his body. His tiny fingers and toes have begun to separate into unique extremities, and he's also begun to open and close his fists.

The first signs of where her teeth will form appear this week, as tiny tooth buds begin to pop under her gums. She may even have her first case of the hiccups, as her diaphragm begins to develop.

My Pregnancy Week 11

Tell us what you think!

  1. I’m 11 weeks 2 day today. This will be my 3rd baby. We have 2 sons and we are hoping for a daughter. This is my 4th pregnancy because last year I had a miscarriage on 16 weeks. I’m praying for having healthy baby without any problems. We are waiting our new baby with love and patience. My older son is so happy to having little baby brother or sister. My best wishes.

  2. Caitlin says:

I’m 11 weeks 1 day today! This will be my 2nd child, I already have a 2 year old daughter (she will be 3 in April) and also a 6 year old step son and a 4 year old step daughter that live with us full time! A lot of people think we’re crazy with all of these kids since we’re so young (he’s 24 and I’m 22) but we love having a full home and are so excited to meet our new little one! We are hoping for a boy this time so my step son can finally have a little brother! I’m having some complications this time around so we are kind of scared. They told me my cervix is shorter than they would like it to be and if it doesn’t correct itself by about 16 weeks they will have to stitch along the bottom of my cervix to prevent me from having a miscarriage or a premature birth and then they will remove the stitches around 37 weeks. Also my uterus is tilted back towards my spine. On top of all of that I also have a subchorionic hemmorhage which is a blood clot between the uterine wall and the placenta. Hopefully that goes away with time as well. I have a 50% chance of having a miscarriage or a premature birth and I have been put on pelvic rest and bed rest, but we are trying to stay hopeful! We are looking forward to completing our little family!

  3. Abby says:

Hello, I’ll be turning 37 b4 my 4th child is born in June of 2018. I already have a 15yr old, n a 9 n 6 yr old who are both autistic. I’m terrified ladies. I have so many fears that ill be that woman with 3 special needs kids. Also my husband n i are already living pay check to pay check n that’s a big scare as well cuz we all kno kids aren’t cheap. I couldn’t give up my child or have an abortion so this is why we’re risking an opps (not a mistake) while wearing a condom After 12yrs together. We we’re tying to be careful so this wouldn’t happen but I God had different plans. Anyway, I’m not nauseated at all, just hungry alot n really tired. I feel my energy levels have dropped tremendously but i also have a constantly running house hold n i work nights n some days so there are times im running on fumes. I’m staying strong tho, n praying alot. Trying to stay healthy, n stress free isn’t always easy but I’m trying my best. Anyway, that’s my story. Good luck to all u moms!! N god bless ur new editions!

    • Megan Klay says:

It sounds like you have a wonderful outlook, Abby! And sometimes I think that’s all you need. πŸ™‚ If it feels right to you both, maybe your husband could “get snipped”. That’s our plan after our next pregnancy! I also think that there are some really beautiful things about the Autistic mind so hopefully you’re all able to find the right support for your children to flourish. Best wishes to you and your family!

  4. Grace says:

    So nauseated all the time.

  5. Hi I’m on baby number 2 after almost 7 years my son couldn’t be more excited, I’m excited myself but I go in and out of sadness knowing that the situation turned out terrible. The man lied about not ever having anyone pregnant so here I am keeping him updated and one argument he decides to inform me his girlfriend of 10years is a month further along than me I’m 11 weeks and a day as hard as I pray and say he was wrong and not knowing he had a girlfriend well ex that he was going back too I feel wrong I’m not bitter I actually just blocked him off of anything that can get him to contact me for my own sake I’m not reaching out to his gf that’s not my place I’m a strong believer that god does things for a reason I’m 27 so I started school for my EKG and phlebotomy as soon as I found out I’ll be done the month before the baby is due but maybe this will help me cope a little, no morning sickness more like I’m always as hungry and I usually get a weird taste in my mouth around 8pm till I pass out so I carry mouth wash while doing my 16hr shifts and when I’m in school. Sorry for so much I feel I can finally spill this stuff in my head❀

  6. Jasmene says:

I am goin threw it… Really ready to drop!

  7. safinaaz says:

I am 11 weeks 4 days but still feel sleepy and nausea…… wanted a boy as i already have a daughter but i dont mind if its a girl as long as he/she is healthy…

  8. Jasmine says:

This is my third baby. Im very nervous because i lost my second child due to a ectopic pregnancy. Im so excited but than again im very very terrified about this pregnancy. But CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE NEW TO BE MOMS! I wish you all the very best.

  9. Jessica says:

Well, this is my first pregnancy and I’m not afraid to say that I’m a bit scared. I question if I will be a good mother…. I question my financial stability and worry about the health of my baby constantly. It’s been stressful… but I’m also SO excited to start a family. My boyfriend and I also take care of his three girls most of the time and it is defiantly a handful. It all sort of came at once as I found out I was pregnant and soon after he gained custodial rights. So I became an “instamom” pretty much in a week. With a 1yr,2yr and 4yr old around now….I worry about being able to do everything right in my pregnancy as well as being able to handle a newborn with all the little ones I’m growing accustomed to now. I’m only 11 weeks one day and my morning sickness continues to worsen as well as the girls are sick off and on causing me to catch flues and colds often. All of it at once is stressing our relationship though we stay strong and healthy at the end of the day. I’m so ready to feel pregnant in more waysThan just throwing up. I cannot wait to feel (I hope it’s a boy) him move and kick and I’m even just ready to hold my own little miracle.

    • Crystal says:

I’m also pregnant with my first kid, and my boyfriend and I are worrying if we will be able to even keep the kid, due to our non-existant finances. So of course we are nervous too, and we are hoping for a girl! But good luck to you and your boyfriend, and the 3 kids! ☺

    • Kristine says:

A great friend of mine (and wonderful mom) told me the moment you stop worrying is when you are no longer a good mom. You have a lot on your plate, so it’s perfectly normal to be nervous, scared or concerned. You got this momma! The second trimester is way bether than the first.

  10. courtney says:

this is my very first baby and second for my husband. I cant tell who is more excited me or him! my step son is four and keeps asking when the baby will come out. He even asked if he could just take him out for a minute and put him back in. I am 11 weeks and super anxious for my belly to grow and feel all the movements. I dont want to rush it but i do at the same time πŸ˜‰

  22. Kasandra says:

I am now 12 weeks and I have to go back to my regular apt on jan 20th and at that point I asked when I can find out the gender of the baby the receptionist there said at 20 weeks but I remember finding out with my 1st pregnancy I found out the gender before then so I’m wondering if it’s possible if they can tell me when I go on the 20th what the gender is. Any suggestions or ideas or even experiences would be great?. Thank you so much!

    • Autumn says:

You can technically find out at 16 weeks BUT its BEST and a better clearer chance to wait till the 20th week, sucks waiting, I hate that part! The anticipation and all! BUT its TOTALLY worth the wait, and id rather wait a lil more to make sure I get the right answer πŸ™‚ Best Wishes πŸ™‚

    • BECKY says:

I work at my OBGYN office and we have patients get a gender id sono at 16 weeks but they have to pay for it insurance won’t pay for it, but you can also find out at your 20 week visit cause that sono insurance covers

  23. Rose says:

I only pray for one to be born healthy!!

  24. Rose says:

    I’m 11 weeks 2days n ive lost 4 babies in 02, 04, 10, 11 and Im scared with this one

  25. My first pregnancy is much different from the last, I was nauseous for 4 months straight! This is my second and I feel fine, a little swollen but not as miserable and the last one…. πŸ™‚ HOPING FOR A GIRL, BUT WILL BE BLESSED EITHER WAY!
