EASTER: New Ideas for an Old Tradition
For all those who dislike the plastic eggs or are worried about their safety when it comes to your little ones, swap them out this year and opt for handmade paper eggs. Cut egg shapes out of paper, fill them with the same delicious Easter candy you would a plastic one, and glue or sew them shut. Those paper eggs are sure to give a pleasant surprise when the little children go off on their hunt.
Every child learns the story about Peter Cottontail, and we all remember how Alice followed the white rabbit, so why not make your own rabbit story for your little ones this Easter. Take cutouts of rabbits and make a trail with them. The little ones can follow this trail and it will lead them to the wonderful world of baskets and candy.
There are always eggs to be found on Easter, but rarely does anyone find a nest. So, instead of having your kids go out and fetch their Easter eggs with baskets, do a little craft project with them this year, and help them create their very own Easter nest with old shoe boxes, shredded paper, bits of yarn, and some glue. They will have a great time gathering their eggs in their own unique, little nest.
Hopefully you found something that you would like to do with your family this coming holiday; but whatever you do, be sure to have fun.
