Two-for-one Deal at the Hospital: Marriage and Baby

If you've gotten to the married stage of life, and you're a female (guys are typically smart enough to keep their hands out of marriage plans), you know how planning a wedding is crazy stuff. You have to deal with the flowers and the dresses and the bridesmaids and the location and the pastor and the luncheon and whatever else goes into planning that special day. Imagine if you only had to worry about two things on your wedding day: spitting out the words “I do” and subsequently giving birth to your child. 

Crazy, right?

This article is about a gal that did just that. My favorite part is how her then-boyfriend did everything he could to marry her before she actually gave birth, ring and all!

I Would Like a Taxi to the Nearest Hospital

I just want to give a shout-out to everyone that helped this gal. I'm just going to be honest, and this is probably indicative of my character (I'm trying to change), but if I saw a woman in the middle of the road screaming, I would probably look the other way, thinking to myself, “She's just a street performer.” So, props to the people that helped this girl out.

So here's the story.

A woman in New York City was having some trouble. She was on the way to the hospital to give birth to her child, but the bun in the oven was ready to be taken out! So instead of the typical birth experience at a hospital, she had her child in the middle of the street.

The California Gurl is also a Midwife (of sorts)

She's a singer, an actress, an avid dater of semi-sketchy guys, and a midwife! Last Wednesday night (please say this to the tune of “Last Friday Night”), Katy Perry was just hanging out in the living room when her friend/sister/cousin/back-up dancer ( the article didn't specify who) went into labor. Using her vast skill set, Katy Perry filled in as the midwife and delivered her “friend's” baby. Although the article doesn't give much more information than that, it has a nice photo of Katy, which I am never opposed to, so here it is

    Whew! I knew a friend who’s in labor but able to drive herself to the hospital.
    Oh, i love Katy Perry more for that good deed!
