Take Care of YOU!
Parents, we need to start taking care of ourselves. Between shuttling kids here and there, midnight feedings, sleepless nights, keeping up a house, working, and taking care of everyone else, we need a break.
It’s OK to do things for yourself, it really is, because sometimes you just need some time to take a moment to shut your brain off and meditate for a while. Take time to relax or fulfill something on your bucket list and make time to catch up with good friends. Maybe even try something new like…
- taking a yoga class
- crafting something for your home
- trying a spa treatment at home
- beginning a new workout routine
- just taking some time to be alone
What do you do to relax and take care of yourself?
Asking for help can be difficult at times because we tend to think that we have to do everything by ourselves, but sometimes we can’t, and that’s OK. Who do you turn to when you need help? Your parents? Your friends? Your neighbors?
Did you know that sleep plays a key component not only in our happiness, but in the happiness of our relationships? It’s true. That is why getting rest it so important. Resting for just fifteen minutes is better than nothing.
