Now that Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson have given birth, we’re on our biggest baby watch of the summer: the Royal baby.

Princess Catherine is due to give birth mid-July, although some experts are saying she’ll be popping out the royal heir any day.  While the world finds out about the royal birth in a surprisingly low-tech way,  Prince William will be beginning his two week paternity leave…yes, even Royals have to take leave!

Sources close to the Royal Family say Kate Middleton has some concerns about Prince William missing the birth of their baby. Prince William is working hard to fulfill his duties as a Royal Air Force pilot to ensure he can be there for his bride every step of the way, but even if he misses the birth, he’ll be taking a two week paternity leave from the Ministry of Defense – the normal paternal leave length in the UK.

We wonder: How much paperwork does he have to fill out?

Just a year ago, Scott Disick, long-time love of Kourtney Kardashian (and father of her two children) was laying eyes on his daughter for the first time. On Monday, he and the rest of the Kardashian-Disick clan celebrated the big day the best way they know how – on social media! Aunt Khloe Kardashian Odom posted a picture of her and her sweet niece to Instagram, and Aunts Kylie and Kendall Tweeted their well wishes. Meanwhile, Scott Disick spent the big day having a relaxing lunch….with a group of friends in Beverly Hills.  No word on when or where the family will hold the (no doubt) lavish fete for their one-year-old princess, but we’re going to guess tiaras will be involved.

Speaking of leading men we’d love to see wearing a baby or two, Ryan Reynolds recently opened up to Details magazine about his desire to have a big family one day. Ryan Reynolds, who married actress Blake Lively during a secret wedding in 2012, is typically very private about his relationship with his wife, but opened up when the subject turned to someday-children. He told the magazine, “We’d love to have a big family…..my parents did four, Blake’s did five….we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.”

Everyday Family readers, sound off: What leading man would you like to see wearing a baby? How did you celebrate your baby’s first birthday?

I think paternity leave is important. My husband took the 12 weeks off with me.
