Stars Say to Leave Kim Kardashian Alone
Kim Kardashian has been the brunt of quite a few fashion jokes as she has grown during her pregnancy. The reality star has been seen wearing couture clothes that may not do justice to her figure, and the usually fashionable star has been criticized for her fashion choices. Some stars are now speaking out against the criticism with one main theme: leave her alone.
In a recent People magazine article on their website several women who are currently pregnant or have been pregnant spoke out in defense of Kardashian. Gwyneth Paltrow said, “I think that women should support each other, especially through pregnancy. It’s a difficult time and I think Kim Kardashian looks absolutely beautiful. And we’re supposed to gain weight when we’re pregnant — that’s how God intended it.”
Helena Christensen says, “It is disgusting and despicable the way that certain media constantly harass the pregnant Kim Kardashian … a public bullying and attacking of a pregnant woman because of her growing shape is just lower than low … No one should ever be publicly judged for their body, but to attack an expecting mother is sacrilegious and just plain wrong. A pregnant woman should not be criticized for her shape, period!!”
While I may think a particular outfit is not flattering on a woman, I certainly would not say that to her face or talk about it publicly. I remember how self-conscious I was of my body when I was pregnant. It is not easy growing every day, especially during those last few months, when literally nothing I put on fit, or was comfortable.
I think Kim Kardashian has enough to worry about and that kicking her when she is down is despicable. While no one ever came out and said to my face that I looked like a whale while I was pregnant – I still felt bad about myself, so I can’t imagine hearing those awful things about me come out of other people’s mouths and have those criticisms broadcast all over the world. We should cut every pregnant woman a break, as Gwyneth Paltrow says, you are supposed to get bigger while pregnant, and there is nothing wrong with gaining weight. Instead of tearing her down, we as a society should be building pregnant women up, they are the key to our next generation.
Do you think all of the criticism is wrong?
