Social Services Forcibly Sedates Pregnant Woman and Steals Her Unborn Baby

The pregnant mother was in Britain for a simple training course, but her life unjustly twisted when social services forcibly sedated her, cut her uterus open, and stole her unborn baby. It is said that these sickening actions, sanctioned by the Court of Protection and executed by Essex social services, were “unprecedented” and “the stuff of nightmares.”

The Italian mother apparently “suffered a panic attack, which her family claim was caused by a failure to take medication for her bipolar condition, and after calling the police was taken to hospital.” She was then held under the Mental Health Act; and that’s where social services stepped in.

After her caged, forced C-section, the foreign system continued to crash down upon her rights as a human being. Her baby girl was “put up for adoption [and the mother] was denied the chance to spend even the first few days of her child’s life with her.”

They didn’t consult her family beforehand. They didn’t include the Italian social services. And after it was all said and done, this divorced woman was simply sent back home, to her two other children, without her newborn baby.

It’s been 15 months, and they still refuse to return the little girl to her. Why? “Because of the risk that the woman might suffer a relapse,” according to a ruling given by one judge.

Despite the jarring obstacles this mother has faced, and continues to face, she is still fighting to rescue her daughter from the system. The council believed they were doing the right thing, but this doesn’t seem right at all. Unless some new information is quickly released, making sense of this disgusting display of “best interests” at hand, I can’t support the rulings. Can you?

Many people suffer panic attacks; and plenty have bipolar disorders too. Does this make them unfit for parenthood?

This week, John Hemming MP will broach this issue with Parliament, saying the facts will “shock people out of their complacency about the corrupt practices in the family court … I think this has a fair chance of being the worst case of human-rights abuse I’ve ever seen. She wasn’t treated as a human being.”

I agree that is wrong and I have bipolar as well and my child keeps me level as well

  2. Ami says:

The issue here was obviously British officials’ racism and not the woman’s mental health.

  3. Laura says:

    This makes me sick

  4. Lauren says:

    I don’t even have words.

  5. Janet says:

I think that those Social (DIS)Services workers should have the same thing done to them only have ALL their children removed from their care since it is obvious that they care nothing of stealing children. I believe the phrase” An eye for an eye” is applicable here.

and yet american health system wants to be like them… so horrible that this happened and that the governmentsa are not doing more to reverse the should be illegal actions

  7. Destiny says:

Clearly if she has raised two other kids she can raise another one no problem!!

  8. TaKeisha says:

PThat’s not fair!!!! Just b/c the mother has bioplar disorder and anxiety does not make her an unfit mother. So CP took it upon themselves to take her baby? So what if she had Cancer or MS? People do get sick!!

  9. KeliAnn says:

I suffer from “bipolar” and anxiety and my children keep me level. The article says she missed her dose of medication and had a panic attack, I have been known to have those while pregnant, that doesn’t mean I was a threat to my child. Britain social services just saw a weak link and took advantage of it, but little do they know most mother’s that have bipolar will fight for what’s theirs. Good luck to that family and may God be with them.

    What an awful story!!

  11. Debbie says:

I work in behavioral health and I think this is appalling. People with Bipolar disorder function fine with the right medication.

  12. Anastacia says:

    That is absolutely horrible!!!

  13. Theresa says:

this is pathetic, why would the family do that to her?

    • KeliAnn says:

Reread carefully. The family did not do it the Britain social services did. The woman’s family was notified until day later. Don’t blame the family for something they had no clue about.

  14. dana says:

wtf is wrong with these people something is really wrong with the government they need to give her her child back why worry about that child and not the others the need their damn hands cut off

    • uyanga says:

thats right i just read it and it very missed up and i wondering where this happened because im 17 weeks pregnant and im nervious now very scared

      • KeliAnn says:

Britain, is where it happened. And they claimed that she wasa risk to herself and unborn child. Like I told someone else reread the article, you’ll get answers to your questions.
