Rethinking Your Smart Phone Options

With Apple stock at an all time low, and the Company easing back on production of the iPhone 5 due to low demand, one might wonder if the smart phone of today's generation is loosing its grip on the tech savvy.

As momprenuers, we know how important having the right phone can be – it's our lifeline to the outside world for work, school, family and more.  Here's a look at a few other iPhone alternatives that would do the job just as well, maybe even better, in a pinch.

Nokia Lumia 920

This phone is run by a supped up Windows operating system. The unique interface looks much like a desktop with customizable icons. The phone includes an LED flash, 8MP camera, and HD video camera. Check out the cool Nokia Maps App, that not only tells you where you are, but lets you know what's near by based on what you are looking for – restaurants, movie theaters, parks, and more.

HTC Droid DNA

People have long been singing the praises of Droid, and it's easy to see why.  It has a sharp 5-inch LED screen – larger than the average smart phone. With an excellent camera, long battery life, super speedy processor this phone has it all. Great for reading and surfing the web.

Samsung Galaxy S III

I love the sleek look and this shape of this smart phone. And if I had a choice of a new phone today, this would be the winner.  Everything works intuitively from the self-dimming screen to the voice activated calling system. Want to share a file with another Samsung Galaxy user? Simply touch the backs of your phones together and the file is shared.

LG Optimus G

If you are prone to dropping your phone, this might be the one for you. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass Screen Protector, which means you can literally drop it over and over again without breaking the screen. Operate numerous functions at one time without slowing down your searching speed. This phone has a mega processor that beats most on the market. The cool quick memo app allows you to capture any screen, write on it with your finger, and send to a friend with just a few clicks.

There are as many choices out there as there are different types of moms. Doing your homework before your purchase will insure that you pick the right smart phone for you.
