Maternity Style: 8 Casual and Comfortable Looks

It's hard to imagine right now, but soon we'll be heading into cooler days with fall right around the corner. It's a great time to wind down after a busy summer and focus on a more casual and comfortable maternity wardrobe.

However, to be casual and comfortable doesn't mean you have to wear the hubby's over-sized t-shirts! There are plenty of stylish maternity options right at your finger tips. Today I've come up with eight casual and comfortable looks that are sure to flatter your growing body.

1. The first look would work not only as a great casual ensemble, but it can also double as a look for work or just a simple lunch date by adding a few accessories to dress it up. The open front cardigan is a complimentary cut for a growing belly.

2. Polka dots are everywhere this season and this particular look will easily take you to the office in style and back home to lounge around for the night. The ruching at the belly adds a nice touch to emphasize your growing bump.

3. Subtle stripes in your favorite soft cotton makes for a perfect day around the house when paired with comfy black yoga pants.

 4. Graphic t-shirts are all the rage this year and what is more comfortable than a classic cut t-shirt that will leave you feeling fashionable while pregnant?

5. I'm sure you've seen the “Love” t-shirt everywhere by now and I think they are perfection for a pregnant mom-to-be. This classic t-shirt worn with the ultra-comfortable white roll linen pants, makes for a comfy and fun option.

6. A split-neck knit tunic with ruched sides in a soft and lightweight jersey that will help you move freely, while still looking spot on trend is a perfect option to meet the comfy yet casual preference of most pregnant gals. Add a pop of color with accessories to dress it up for date night or classic Converse for coffee with friends and you've got simple yet stylish on lockdown.

7. This chic studded sleeve top will offer a more dressed-up casual look due to this fun detailing. Add an oversized watch or delicate chain to complete this look. To re-work your wardrobe,  this is a top that can also be worn with the black pants in the first set.

8. Finally, the gray v-neck long sleeve is the perfect go-to outfit to throw on for those lazy days at home.

Let's face it, frumpy is not fashionable, but it is quite comfortable.  That doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style to feel good. Simply invest in a few casual and on trend pieces that fit your pregnant body like a glove and then keep them casual for day and accessorize for the evening as needed. Taking these steps will make you look great and most importantly feel great about yourself.
