When the air begins to cool many moms find themselves getting excited about fall. While it’s certainly nice to pull out comfortable fall clothing and enjoy fall treats, many moms get most excited about the family fun that fall offers. This fall, create a list of must-dos for your family and enjoy the moments as you make memories. Check out the list below to get some ideas for your family’s fall fun!

  1. Head to a farm

Whether your family prefers perusing the pumpkin patch or picking apples right from the tree, consider getting some fresh air at a family-friendly farm. If your area doesn’t have a farm that you can easily access, many local museums or churches offer fall themed festivities that often offer a pumpkin patch. Be sure to snap some pictures of your cutie as they explore!

  1. Bake something tasty

When the weather gets chilly, nothing tastes better than a warm treat. If your family likes something sweet, consider baking an apple or pumpkin pie. If your family prefers something savory, perhaps a pot roast or chicken pot pie would make the perfect Sunday dinner! Make cooking and baking more fun by letting your child select a recipe and help with the measuring, mixing, and decorating.

  1. Make a fall craft

When fall sets in, kids often pick up on the changes in the weather and the scenery. Take the opportunity to use nature to craft something special. Consider painting a picture of the trees, making paint prints with leaves or glittering up some pinecones you collect on a nature walk.

  1. Snuggle up!

Warm pajamas, thick blankets, and a cup of hot chocolate make for an absolutely perfect story time. Grab your kiddos and a good book (or two) and spend the evening reading to your little one.
