Oh my goodness – if you looked underneath my sink, you might be taken aback by the number of glass jars I’ve accumulated over the years. You’d probably wonder if there were such a thing as a jar hoarder. And then if you were to look in my other cupboards, you could confirm your suspicions, and you’d think to yourself “Yep – jar hoarder.” But it’s totally justifiable, you see, because you can make a lot of amazing, inexpensive things with jars. And with the holidays coming up, you can make some pretty outstanding gifts. Here is a roundup of five DIY Mason Jar projects that you can whip together in no time and for very little cost.

Clever Organization with Mason Jar Lid Signs

Mason jar lids offer boundless uses.

I could use a little bit of organization to my home. Couldn't you? I used masking tape and a sharpie to specify what goes where in my kids' room. Not attractive. But look how pretty these tags are. Who knew simple Mason jar lids, some paper, and a lettered sticker could be the answer to a well-organized room?

Mason Jar Apothecary Jar

Apothecary jars are perhaps my favorite things ever, but they are crazy pricey.

Apothecary jars are perfect for organization. storage, and they make a lovely gift.

That is why making your own makes a lot more sense, especially if you're in the market for something unique for someone on your holiday gift list. All you need is some good glue, a jar, a lid, a base, and something special to top off the lid. Oh, and something to fill it, of course.
