Jessica’s Ace, Kim’s Body, and Alec’s Hormones
We’re days away from the July 4th weekend, a time when many families fire up the grill, set off the fireworks, and enjoy a little down time. How about some celebrity gossip to read while the hot dogs are cooking?
Jessica Simpson is known for pregnancies that seem to last forever (remember baby #1?) On Sunday, her latest little bun finally came out of the oven! Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby boy, named Ace Knute Johnson, in Los Angeles during a scheduled C-section. The little boy’s name pays homage to fiancé Eric Johnson’s Swedish grandfather, Knute Johnson. Baby Ace joins 14-month-old Maxwell, the couple’s first child; Ace was a bit of a surprise for Jessica and Eric – she got pregnant only seven months after giving birth to Maxwell! Next on the to-do list after giving birth? A wedding! A source told US magazine that Jessica was ready to get hitched “before I get pregnant with another one!” Congrats to the happy family!
Jessica has a long way to go before she worries about her post-baby body, but for Kim Kardashian, apparently the time is right – or at least, it will be soon! Kim’s trainer Tracy Anderson says Kim has a plan to get her body back in shape post-baby. Kim gave birth to daughter North in late June, 5 weeks early, and while her top priority is the health of her newborn daughter, Andersons said Kim is excited to get started, “but she’s really calm about it all.” The plan will include workouts four days a week that include exercises to strengthen key muscle groups. Eventually, Tracy and Kim will increase the workouts to five or six days per week. Tracy has whipped other celebrity moms back in shape, including Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow. She also offers a line of DVDs to help moms stay in shape during their pregnancy.
Everyone thinks his or her children are the most beautiful creatures on the planet, but what happens when you allow them to step onto a pageant stage under the glare of judging eyes?
That’s a question model Ali Landry won’t have to answer when it comes to her four-year-old daughter Estela. Although Ali is best known her for her Miss USA win in 1996, she’s purposely keeping Estela from taking the pageant route. “[Estela] has a very outgoing personality… [in L.A.] there are so many creative outlets for her […]” Landry said she would “probably not” encourage Estela to participate in pageants. It’s probably for the best, as the actress and model has her hands full; Ali has a son, Marcelo, 20 months, and is pregnant with her third child, due later this year!
Pregnancy hormones: Any mama who has carried a child has, at some point, found herself at the mercy of those crazy chemicals. In Alec Baldwin’s case, his pregnant wife, Hilaria, must have rubbed off on him! Alec spent this weekend tweeting crude messages to a Daily Mail journalist who reported Hilaria was tweeting upbeat messages during James Gandolfini’s funeral on June 27. Alex Baldwin, known for his hot temper, said, “I’m going to find you….I’m gonna f*** you up,” and “I hope that this reporter knows how much pain and drama he has caused…lying and bullying are shameful.” Sheesh, Alec, time for a time-out!
EverydayFamily readers: Sound off! How long did it take you to get back in pre-baby shape? Would you let your child participate in a pageant?
