Jennifer Nettles’ Boy Turns One; Tori Spelling’s Overprotective Mom Problems

We know life moves fast when you’re a parent. Country singer Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, is discovering just how fast babies change into little people, especially in the first year of life. She told PEOPLE that her son, Magnus Hamilton, has grown and changed from “a little noodle” to an active toddler faster than she expected. “I cannot believe how fast the time has gone … the amount of development that happens!” The new mom, who is releasing her first solo album, That Girl, also dished on her son’s numerous nicknames. “Magaroni and Cheese is a fun one. Somehow that turned into Magaroni noodle, and then sometimes it’s just Noodle!”

Moms of more than one kid often say they get more relaxed after each one, but this isn’t’ the case for Tori Spelling! She told PEOPLE that she’s more protective of her fourth child, Finn Davey, than her other children. The actress and mom, 40, believes her pregnancy complications – she had placenta previa during and underwent an emergency surgery immediately after her c-section – but it also has something to do with Finn, 16 months, and his rambunctious personality.
“He’s our little bruiser of the family … with Finn, if you turn around for one second, his finger is in the socket and he’s pulling the blinds around himself. He is that kid.” Her husband, Dean McDermott, is a little less anxious about their little whirlwind. “I’m usually behind [Finn] going, “Wha! Wha!” and Dean is like, ‘Please stop gasping!’” With four little ones under 5, life isn’t going to get any easier, Tori!
Kelly Clarkson isn’t wasting any time preparing for her new bundle of joy, starting with the name! After a rough first trimester (Clarkson said she vomits about 11 times per day), Kelly is ready to find out the sex of her baby, which she plans to do in a blood test soon. But whether she’s having a boy or a girl, the name will be the same! In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly said the name is “random”, but not ccompletely off the wall. “It’s not like… ‘Blue Jazz.’ It’s not going to be a weird name.” Thank goodness; there are already enough off-the-wall celebrity baby names out there!
