Your Ultimate Guide to a Healthy Easter Basket

As Easter approaches, parents who celebrate the holiday often get excited about stuffing their little one’s Easter basket with all sorts of fun trinkets and goodies. If you’re a health-conscious parent though, the idea of giving your toddler a huge chocolate bunny or a massive bag of jelly beans might not be so appealing. While packing little ones full of candy at Easter might be the norm, there are lots of non-candy related ways to celebrate the holiday. Check out these ideas on how to create a healthy Easter basket so fun and healthy your baby won’t even notice that the candy is missing.

Sweet sunglasses

If you’ve got a tot who loves playing outside as much as you love dressing them with style, consider sticking an adorably cool pair of Babiators in their healthy Easter basket. Not only will these glasses appeal to your little one’s sense of style, but they’ll also help keep their eyes healthy as they spend time in the sunshine.

A silly tooth brushing game

While it might not feel fun to give your baby a toothbrush for Easter, The Brushies will help them learn to love keeping their teeth clean! The Brushies (a set of toothbrushing finger puppets) help your youngest baby have fun as they learn about keeping their teeth and gums sparkly clean!

A safe chewable

Just because you’re not filling their basket with candy doesn't mean you can’t stock it with something that will help them enjoy a sweet snack. If you’ve got a younger baby, consider adding the Fresh Food teether to their healthy Easter basket and watch them safely enjoy all sorts of yummy fruits and vegetables.

A healthy snack

If you’ve got an older child, consider replacing the candy in their basket with fresh fruit or one of their favorite healthier treats, like yogurt covered raisins. Fill the Snack in the box with their favorite treats and watch them jump for joy on Easter morning!

A fun game

While some families make Easter all about the candy, you can choose to make it about something different, like games they’ll enjoy all day. Consider adding a Magnetic game to their healthy Easter basket and they’ll even have something to play as you travel to visit family over the holiday or during the summer!

Something to stack

Whether your little one prefers blocks or Legos, giving them something to build for Easter will help encourage their creativity as they have fun. For older kids, consider including blocks and building toys that can be snapped together. For younger kids, include toys that can be stacked and that offer bright pictures and words!

Something to read

Whether your little one is reading independently or still likes to snuggle up with you for their bedtime story, including something to read is a fun treat that will encourage good reading habits as they grow. For younger babies, consider board books or books that have different touch and feel elements. For older preschoolers, consider a book that involves interactivity so they can engage with each page as they go!
