Growing Families for Kim, Kendra, and Rachel; Growing Pains for Madonna
Speaking of the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West have finally decided on a name for their daughter, who was born June 15 (five weeks before Kim’s due date.) Rumors abounded about the little lady’s moniker, including some K names (to fit with the Kardashian family’s tradition) but the couple took a rather interesting twist by naming their daughter North West (Nori for short.) Oddly enough, Kim Kardashian laughed at the name during a March interview with Jay Leno, saying, “That is not true…..that is not one of the names on the list.” TMZ reported that sources close to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West claim the name isn’t a pun or based on the direction of anyone’s house. The couple chose the name because they consider their daughter to be the peak of their relationship – their “North star.” In other words, nothing is more northern than north – the best of the best. Nori, the baby’s nickname, is acombination of Kim and Kanye’s middle names (Noel and Omari respectively.) One thing is for sure; nobody will forget that little girl’s name.
Kids grow up fast, don’t they?
One minute you’re naming your child something nutty, the next that child has her face buried in an iPhone– at least in Madonna’s case!
The Material Mom discussed her maternal growing pains in an interview with Good Morning America last Friday. Madonna said her daughter, 16-year-old Lourdes Leon, has “stopped talking to [her]” since she got Lourdes a smart phone. Madonna admitted watching her daughter grow up has been bittersweet, “She’s still my little girl and she’s also a woman….it’s kind of uncomfortable.”
Kendra Wilkinson, former Girls Next Door star and wife of NFL player Hank Baskett, is ready to add to the chaos of parenthood with another bundle of joy. Kendra said she’s ready to start trying for baby #2. The reality TV star and mom to 3-year-old Hank IV told PEOPLE, “We found the key to marriage, we have the key to parenting; why not right now bring a new life into this world while we’re this happy?” The couple has even included Little Hank in the decision – he’s been asking for a brother or sister for a while, according to Kendra. A new season of Kendra’s reality show on WeTV premieres this summer, so it’s perfect timing for a new plot twist.
One reality TV star is well on her way to adding a new baby to the family. Rachel Zoe, celebrity stylist and fashion designer, and her husband, Rodger Berman, are expecting their second child next year. Rachel, who had son Skyler Morrison in 2011, told PEOPLE earlier this year she wasn’t against the idea of a second baby – and at 41 years old, it looks like she got her wish!
