Get the Look! Jessica Simpson Maternity Style
Jessica Simpson with her keen sense of style was seen out and about with her daughter looking very pregnant earlier this month in a breezy summer leopard maxi skirt and t-shirt, topped with a denim jacket and flip-flops. This is a complimentary maternity ensemble for Jessica and the great thing about her look is that it provides a fashionable yet no fuss layered style for her baby bump. Today I've included two recreations of Jessica's classic and comfortable maternity look to inspire and extend your maternity wardrobe as well as pieces that can easily transition to your post-pregnancy closet.
For the first look, I've started the recreation with a basic black maternity t-shirt by H&M. When shopping for maternity clothes this is a great choice since it's so versatile. It can provide many different looks ranging from casual everyday to a night out by adding a few accessories to dress it up.
I would suggest one in black and one in white, we only wear our maternity clothes for so long but I think you'll find that these two wardrobe staples will go a long way throughout the duration of your pregnancy, not to mention they are great for those first few months post pregnancy.
Maxi dresses and skirts provide such a comfortable maternity style and at times you may even be able to make a non-maternity skirt like this leopard skirt work for a pregnant belly by wearing it a bit lower. However, it will all depend on your comfort level.
The second look I've provided is a similar maternity style to Jessica's with a stripe pattern maternity maxi skirt.
Old Navy is a great place for maternity looks, providing stylish yet afforable clothing. This skirt is an Old Navy maternity maxi skirt in a jersey knit material which is very lightweight and comfortable. Couple with a plain white maternity t-shirt or tank top and complete the look with an Old Navy cropped maternity denim jacket.
These are both very relaxed looks whether you are pregnant or not and can easily be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe.
