Dr. Susan Rehm and Anna Post: Tis the Flu Season!

Did you know that the CDC is already reporting flu activity across the U.S.? With all of the friends and family you are bound to visit with over the next few weeks, staying healthy could be tricky! What happens if a dear family member leans in to hug you, but he is obviously sick? What if your friend is sneezing and coughing, and wants to shake your child’s hand? What if the woman next to you on your three-hour flight is sick? How can you keep your family healthy?

EverydayFamily spoke with Dr. Susan Rehm, medical director of the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) and vice chairman of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Cleveland Clinic, and Anna Post, great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post and co-author of “Emily Post's Etiquette” 18th edition book, to learn exactly what you can do to keep the cold and flu virus from spreading this holiday season.
