Dog Saves Boy from Abusive Babysitter

When Benjamin and Hope Jordan moved to South Carolina, they needed a babysitter for their baby boy.  And as every parent knows, trusting someone to care for your child is not easy, so after a very careful process of choosing one for their little Finn, they felt like they had a lucky find in Alexis Kahn.  She presented herself as nice and personable, and they got along with her quite well.  The family’s intuitive dog had his own reservations about her though, and thankfully so.

As the months went by, Hope started noticing strange little things – like her lips tingling of adult Orajel after she would kiss her baby hello.  Then they noticed how hostile and protective their dog Killian, became.  Benjamin said “About five months into her being our baby sitter, we started to notice that our dog was very protective of our son when she would come in the door.  He was very aggressive towards her and a few times we actually had to physically restrain our dog from going towards her.”  The Jordans were surprised, as according to them this was completely out of character for their normally docile, friendly pet; and they began to investigate.

Benjamin and Hope placed an iPhone underneath their couch, before Kahn showed up to babysit.  What their recording revealed made their stomachs turn, and their hearts break. They heard their seemingly pleasant babysitter cussing at their 7 month old and calling him terrible names, and then they heard her slapping him and shaking him, too.

Today, Finn is a happy little boy who checked out well with the doctors.  And Alexis is now getting comfy in prison for slapping, shaking, and cussing a baby.  It’ll be one to two years before the baby slapper will get out, and when she does, her name will be on the child abuse registry – the scarlet letter of abuse – and she will never be able to work with children again.

The Jordan family couldn’t be more grateful for their heroic canine, and they hope that their experience will help other families to listen to their intuition, and their dog.

This is why I only trust family to watch my kids, mainly my family because others from my husband’s family aren’t the greatest or the cleanest people

This makes me to always want a dog in the house. It is hard finding a sitter.

i trust my babysitter, but they are family and a few friends that i trust more then anything. i dont think i could leave my child, expecially a young one that cant tell you whats going on and such, with someone i didnt know completly. and i would have to have them at my house, because my dogs are protective of my kids, and i know that if i ended up with someone who wasnt what i thought, that they would be wishing for jail time before my dog got done with them
