The Best (and Worst!) Celebrity Baby Names [INFOGRAPHIC]

Gone are the days when there were three Jennifers in a kindergarten class. These days, it’s more likely there will be three Jaydens (with an equal likelihood of the names belonging to male and female students), spelled three different ways (Jayden, Jaiden, Jaydyn?).

Colors, places, careers, numbers – all are now candidates for baby naming options. First names sound like last names, or cleaning products, or plants. And just when you think you’ve heard it all, you’re left scratching your head over the latest and greatest to come from Hollywood.

We’ve scouted the lists, looked at the stats, and even, sometimes, tried to get the story behind the name. Check out the trends, the top 10, and the best of the worst. And let us know what you think! What are the best – and worst – baby names?

  5. Profile photo of Christi Christi says:

We have a plan to go with slightly unique names for first names and then traditional family names for their middle name…that way if they don’t love the unique name as much as we did, they can go with traditional and still have a family tie. We went with Britain David for our first child and Carson William for our second. (William has been down thru the family for ages and come to find out we’re related to William Shakespeare!!!)

  6. I like to be unique but not to crazy. My first daughter’s name is Serinity Taylor-Renee and my second daughter’s name is gonna be Audriana Brooklyn Nichole. And i love them both.

My husband and I like more unique names that you don’t hear much. That way once in school you don’t have multiple kids in the class with the same name. Our first was Xavier and our second is Deacon.

  12. Profile photo of KellyBraun KellyBraun says:

I am not to fond of the made up names now a days, but as long as you are happy with the name you choose that is all that matters. I love my children’s names. I have Zachary, Victoria, Gabriel, Isabella, and Alexander. I have a little one on the way but haven’t decided the name. I would like one to go with the names I have though. 🙂

I like common names with unique spellings but I worried about what names to pick thinking about how kids could make fun of them.

  14. Profile photo of Amber Risley Amber Risley says:

We really wanted my son to have a strong name, Isaac Logan…it may not be original but we love it, and only no of one other person named Isaac, and they are not even in the same age group.

  15. Profile photo of ErinF ErinF says:

Love this! I really like the name Willow Sage (and admit to not hating Blue Ivy). I know SO many Aidens, Braydens and Jaydens; I don’t really get naming trends like this. It’s a challenge finding something that isn’t overdone or ridiculous.

  16. Profile photo of Tiffamo Tiffamo says:

my husband and i used names from the family… so they are comfortable traditional type names… Patrick and Andrew! <3 love my boys!
