Catherine Zeta-Jones Enters Rehab; Farrah Abraham Cashes In
Fairytale, country song, or something more….adult; stars lives sometimes seem like works of fiction. This week, we have some stories you have to read to believe!
More stars are turning to professional help for mental health disorders before it becomes too late; the latest to step through the rehab center doors for a mental health disorder is Catherine Zeta-Jones, who is seeking treatment for Bipolar II disorder. The 43-year-old Academy Award winner checked into a 30-day program on April 29 as a proactive measure. Catherine Zeta-Jones completed a stay in a treatment center in 2011, and source says this stay is “maintenance” for her condition. Our thoughts are with her during her stay.
What happens when a reality TV star’s star begins to fade? If you ask Farrah Abraham, former cast member of MTV’s Teen Mom series, she’ll give you a very adult answer. Three weeks after Farrah starred alongside (or something like that) adult film star James Deen, porn company Vivid Entertainment confirmed they had purchased the tape for close to one million dollars. In the weeks leading up to the announcement, the negotiations seemed to be a family affair; Farrah was seen at Vivid Studios with her daughter Sophia, 3, and her father, meeting with Vivid’s founder, Steve Hirsch. Why would a young mother, who incidentally was arraigned today for an alleged DUI, make this particular career move? Sources told US Magazine that she was desperate to revive her career after the Teen Mom finale.
Country singer Jason Aldean’s life is turning into a real-life country song. He was caught smooching American Idol’s Brittany Kerr (who, by the way, is not his wife) back in September during an L.A. concert stop. At the time, Jason and his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery, were trying to make it work, but according to papers filed April 19, the couple is headed for the big D (and we don’t mean Dallas…) The couple, who are parents to two daughters, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the dissolution of their 11 year marriage.
Second time may be a charm for Michael Jordan, who tied the knot with Cuban-American girlfriend Yvette Prieto on April 27. The former NBA superstar and current owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, married the 35-year-old former model in Palm Beach Florida’s Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-sea in front of 300 guests (including Tiger Woods and Spike Lee.) The ceremony was followed by a lavish reception at Bear’s Club in Jupiter, Fla. – and in true star-style, the night was capped off with fireworks! Entertainment included Robin Thicke and Usher, and guests noshed on a seven-layer white rum wedding cake. The price tag on this lavish fete? A cool $10 million. Something tells us MJ can afford it.
