Book-Bound Mama Births a Baby Between the Bookshelves
I’m pretty confident that I’m not the only one who is more than ok with getting more that I’ve bargained for. Am I wrong?
Didn’t think so.
You know what I’m talking about—you go through the drive-thru at X restaurant, and you pull your food out of the bag, only to see that the entire bottom of the bag is littered with fries. Or when you drag yourself to the vending machine at work, knowing for a fact that that Snickers bar will not curb your hunger. Out of shame and expected disappointment, you feed the machine enough coins for one bar of chocolate, but two end up falling to the retrieval tray.
Yeah. Like I said, you’ve had stuff like that happen to you. If you haven’t, you must not be living right…
Because of my feelings towards books, I think it would spectacular to be born in a bookstore. I think the only people that would object to that would be the store manager and my mother.
So, in light of all of that, how would you feel if you went into the nearest Barnes & Noble, having nothing on your mind but books, and you left the store an hour or so later with a newly-born baby?
No, babies were not for sale, which is a bummer, because I would have bought three! (Yet upon bringing my triad of newborns to my home, I would probably start hunting frantically for the receipt with the return policy being my reason of inquiry.)
An unnamed woman gave birth to an unnamed baby (obviously they had names, they just weren’t given to the public) in a California Barnes & Noble. Because of my feelings towards books, I think it would spectacular to be born in a bookstore. I think the only people that would object to that would be the store manager and my mother.
But alas, I’ve already been born, and it was at a hospital in Utah. Such a shame. I’ll have to see what I can do to have my wife spend an extraordinary amount of time at bookstores so that she could give birth to little bookworms.
Reports have said that the firemen who delivered the baby did a marvelous job, and momma and baby are doing just fine.
