Beyoncé Communicated With Daughter During Birth

Beyoncé has been very hush-hush about her daughter and her personal life in general but it seems that in recent weeks she has been opening up about her experiences. The pop star first talked about a miscarriage she had before conceiving Blue Ivy and then trying to put to rest rumors that she wasn’t really pregnant by saying just this, “That was very odd. Who even thinks that?”

Additionally, Beyoncé says of the speculation that she used a surrogate. “Like, who would make that up … You can’t take it too seriously.” Most recently, she talked to Vogue about how she communicated with her daughter during birth. She says, “I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain. We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication. Everything that scared me just was not present in that room,” she explains. “So for me to really let go and really appreciate every contraction … it was the best day of my life.”

She then goes on to say how she hopes her daughter will have a normal life saying, “At some point it’s very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and live and do all the things that any child should be able to do. School visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff. It’s very important to me.”

Overall, I think that both Beyoncé and Jay-Z have done a pretty good job of shielding their 13-month old from the eye of the paparazzi, something that I find commendable. I don’t feel like I “talked” to any of my children during their birth, but if that is what helped her get through the pain, good for her!

It really upsets me the MSM keeps going along with the lie Beyondfake was even pregnant. I know and you know she wore a pillow for every public appearance. Stop going along with the lies. There’s nothing wrong with using a surrogate and keeping that information to yourself for the sake of your kids, but you DO NOT GO AROUND AND PRETEND YOU ARE PREGNANT and make up stories how you treasured each contraction, and claim on Oprah you gained fifty pounds, no make that 57 lbs. Make up your mind Beyonce, was it 50 or 57, I can’t imagine why any vain woman would have two numbers.

  2. I think this is a great article. I was thinking about hypnobirthing and this makes me think it is possible. I think that’s such a great way to look at things – to focus on the baby’s journey as opposed to your own pain.

  3. EF, I am very disappointed to read this story here. You should be highlighting people that care about families in general, not just their own. The line commending them for keeping their child out of the spotlight is ridiculous. This story should also include the fact that, in order to protect their child from paparazzi, this couple had their floor of the hospital locked down-to-earth which also meant that parents were denied access to the NICU. That is reprehensible, and the fact that this author is supporting it is offensive.
