    There’s a phrase I heard many times growing up:

    "It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it."

    In other words, don’t yell or be too loud.

    I’ve heard this phrase told to children in all their dealings with parents, however I’ve seen parents not follow their own advice.

    When I was a kid, I couldn’t say anything because I "was the problem."

    And how dare the problem speak up!

    Seriously, folks, this is some very wise advice in this video!
