I know my son is 4 and not 3 but he can act like a 2 or 3 year old when he has a temper tantrum but what i do that tends to work pretty much all the time here at home is say to him "If you want to throw a fit or act like a baby then do it in your room" and he actually follows it. Now it is rare he will throw one in public but when he does if it is at the store i will have hubby finish getting what we need and take him to our van and wait there of course with the ac on or if it is at a park then we just load back up and go home ,plain and simple and eventually they understand hey if i throw a fit in public we have to go home befor i want to!lol This has always worked for me and i stand by it no matter what anyone ays this includes family.I have had moments when my hubbys mother is like, "you guys just got here don’t take him home cause of that" and i hate to say it but there is a thing called tuff love and needing to learn a lesson here and there and if you don’t take care of them now and follow through with what you are saying your gonna do then your child will never take you seriously and end up being your boss.

Love this advice! Almost can’t wait to have my 3 year old throw one of her tantrums -so I can handle appropriately! Is that awful? LOL! Thanks for this!
