My Pregnancy Week 7

Pregnancy Week 7

Can you believe your baby has doubled in size since last week? By week seven, your little one measures approximately one-third of an inch long! Also during week seven, your baby’s arms and legs are developing, and teeny, tiny hands and feet are beginning to appear. They also have an appendix, intestines, a pancreas, and a liver. Both hemispheres of your baby’s brain are growing. Nasal pits are forming. Overall, it’s a big week for growth!

This week, your baby’s eyes will also start to become more fully formed, and now have a retina and lens attached. Thin veins will also begin to appear underneath your baby’s translucent skin.

You may have heard that embryos have something like a small tail. This is true! It is an extension of the tailbone, and each week it is becoming smaller and smaller until, in a few short weeks, it will disappear entirely.

And though your baby’s genital tubercle is present, and his or her sex was determined at conception, it is still too early to determine whether you are having a girl or a boy just by sight.

    Hi all,
First time writing a post but love reading everyones, I’m 6 weeks pregnant and concerned with hormone levels. In January had a miscarriage due to low projesterone so this time I’m testing hcg and projesterone every week just to be safe. My hcg has gone up to over 4000 ( awesome) but my projesterone drop from 21 to 17 which is still a safe number but of course I’m concerned. My insurance doesn’t start until Sept 12th and I do. It have $ 800 to go to Dr’s for initial visit, so I’m wondering if anyone has experienced projesterone drops? I know fluctuation is normal but how much is normal? I plan to get blood work done again on thursday.

Hi I am in the same predicament. I am 20 with my first child in week 7 of my pregnancy. I was told that the prenatal vitamins would help with the energy boost but I’ve only stated them yesterday. I was told that whenever I did get tired go ahead and rest up instead of trying to fight it.

Is slight spotting normal at this point? First dr appt isnt until the end of next week and I should be about 9 weeks then. Tomorrow should start week 8 for me. I didnt have spotting with my other pregnancies. Im not cramping at this point. Please pray for us :(

This isnt my first pregnancy and I noticed im gaining weight sooner than I did with my other pregnancies. I may even be eating healthier this time around. Also, when I found out I am pregnant this time around im about 6 lbs heavier than with my last two pregnancies (was 106 with the others when I found out). Could I possibly have two buns in my oven? Grandma said they run on her side and my aunt told me she had conceived twins but lost them but no twins for any of us since. Has anybody had a pregnancy, then twins and noticed weight gain sooner? Maybe im just getting older and uterus larger from previous children???

Hi Caitlin – Do your best to eat regularly and consume healthy foods – fruits, veggies, and meats. Drink lots of water! And get some exercise, even if it’s just walking. Best wishes!

  11. I’m 21 this is my first pregnancy in a couple days I will be 7 weeks. I get morning sickness at night and if I don’t eat something every couple hours I feel sick the cramping has gone away now from the baby attaching to the uterine wall. I’ve experienced motion sickness from very large mirrors and I have found that chocolate milk cures my upset stomach

im 6 week and I have bleeding; this is my first baby; I have PCOS cyst on my ovaries and it has been hard through out the years to get pregnant and I also learn my amniotic fluid is low; Im not having any pain lke a feel a like a pitch or something every blue moon; My baby heart beat is where is suppose to be; but its to early to determine anything at this time; I put my trust in God that he will provide for me and my little one. But if ANYONE has experience this could you please share your outcome. Which I pray was good.

    • Avatar of Gina Gina says:

Hi kelly! Im also 32 and 7 weeks today. My first appt is this Thursday and I cannot wait. Very much like you I have zero morning sickness but am having cramps. Im thinking the cramps are from the developing baby inside of us. :) Best Wishes to you.

I am 7 weeks pregnant and this is my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy with my son was great I only had nausea for the 1st trimester and occasional car sickness and only gained 25lbs. With this pregnancy it is very different. I discovered early on that I was pregnant because of early symptoms. But my symptoms for this pregnancy is very different. I get exhausted easily, nausea all day, very bad frequent headaches, I cant over work myself because then I start to become lightheaded, Im very moody, most of all I have so many cravings, I love love love to eat eat eat!!!!! Im gaining weight fast and I have a filling its going to be more than my first pregnancy. I hope this subsides by the second pregnancy because I enjoyed being pregnant with my first child.
