My Pregnancy Week 24

Pregnancy Week 24

Your baby continues to grow and develop inside of you. She is now about the size of an ear of corn: measuring around 12 inches long and weighing a little over 1 pound. In the coming weeks, your baby will continue to grow and mature at a fast rate, gaining about 6 ounces of weight a week. Her brain is growing rapidly, and her taste buds are developing.

He is pretty lean at 24 weeks, but he’ll soon be putting on some “baby fat” to fill out his frame and his wrinkled skin, which is due to the lack of subcutaneous fat. He has begun to develop white blood cells. These cells are responsible for fighting off disease and infection. His lungs develop branches this week, and his inner ear is completely developed. In fact, he has basic control over all of his senses: hearing, touch, taste, smell, and vision!

I am doing well considering the heat wave we are having in chicago. I dont mind the heat but my lil GUY is overly excited all day everyday and just loves to either punch or stress. lol Njoying his athletic behavior already.

  10. Six months. I’ve been pretty sick throughout this whole ordeal, and I’m so happy to make it this far…sickness is not as bad here. Just praying to get to the end without relapses.

I use to get a lot of UTI’s after my first child was born. My doctor told me the best ways to prevent them is to make sure you pee before and after having sex and wipe yourself from front to back, use a non fragrance soap when showering, and try not to use perfumes or body sprays in the vaginal area and powder in your underwear. It has been at least two or three years since I have had my last UTI. Hope this helps.

  20. cranberry juce really helps

  21. Profile photo of McKenzie McKenzie says:

Yeah I have been getting a lot of UTI’s they hurt really bad too. I have been drinking lots of water and cranberry juice, I was very worried thought it could hurt the baby so I went and got checked said the baby will be fine but I was put on antibiotics finally they went away it was so uncomfortable.

With my first daughter I had a UTI just about every time I went to the doctor, especially towards the end of the pregnancy. One week I had one, then the next week I was fine (according to her tests). When I would go back the following week I had another UTI, etc. Drink LOTS of water! That’s the only thing that seemed to help me. I know it sucks.

Is it normal to have a UTI for an entire pregnancy? My doctors don’t really sound like they know what they’re talking about :/ help?
