Question: Who will be in the delivery room w/you?

With my first delivery my fiance was the only one in the delivery room. My mom came in right after she was born and being swaddled. This time I'm not to sure. It was nice with just us but might have been better with someone who knew what I was going through and how to help.

i had my husband sister and mom with me... i was so nervous and scared at the same time that without them i dnt know if i could of gone trough with it but thnx to God that i know that he was there also with me i was able to have my baby just fine. I think its normal for a mom that has her first child to be nervous and scared right? bc we dnt know how its going to feel even though other mothers have told me how its going to feel its the same thing until you experience it yourself. I can say for my self it is painful but once you see that little face of your babay you dnt even think of the pain anymore bc your heart just melts holding your precious baby in your arms.

I had my mom and husband in the room with me, but had everyone in the waiting room on Skype so they could also be apart of the big moment. They could see what was happening without being in the way or being a distraction.

I had my husband, my mother, my mother in law and my sister ! I had planed not to have any medication so i needed alot of support. If i have another child i wouldnt have it any other way i enjoyed having the ones closest to me sharing that speacial moment!

My mom showed up abt 10 mins before they told me to start pushing. I had my grandmother and my mom in the room with me. There were 4 generations of girls in the room, it was amazing. I had the best support team I could ask for at that time :)

I haven't fully decided. Definitely my husband. Maybe my mom until I actually start pushing then I think it would be good to have moments between just my husband and I.

My first delivery had a ton of people there. Which is funny because we were in the smallest room. My husband, Mom, Sis, SIL, another SIL, MIL and FIL, and my brother were all there. My brother hadn't meant to be there for the delivery just showed up right when she was coming out. ( I think he is still traumatized! LOL) I have said for all my deliveries that anyone who wants to come can, just don't expect me to talk or acknowledge them. I think births are a wonderful experience and don't mind sharing mine.

I had my husband and mother with my first son....with my second son I only had my husband and did not tell anyone until two days later like we had planned with our first but got rudely changed by family members...gotta admit it was nice having them there but when you only have a one bedroom apt and 6 people with a new born..not so much..with our second I didnt really miss anyone there...

hopefully just my husband. I have some really pushy and insisting in laws, but neither my husband or I want anyone in the room during delivery. I wouldn't mind having some family come in when Im in labor but everyone has to go when it is time to push.

We agreed to have just my husband in the delivery room with me. We didn't want our family pacing at the hospital and wondering if the baby had arrived yet.

My husband turned out to be a great coach! And after a couple hours of bonding as a family, he then called our parents and the rest of our family to let them know that the little guy had arrived. Worked really well for us!

i think that i will only have my husband in the room with me. quite honestly i think that it is a Husband and wife... or man and woman expierience.. not mom. dad. sister, aunt uncle thing.. my family is pushy and they hate my husband so this is going to be hard.. my dad literally says that there is a bullet with my husbands name on it and if he ever sees my huband again then he is going to kill him.. Any who... im nervous i dont even want to tell ym parents becasue they will want to be there.. and so will his family... and they will all be fighting during our special moment brining our child into the world.. i dont know what to do... Any thoughts?

i had my mother and husband in with me, and i am so glad i had her in there with us because my husband did not do anything to help... he was behind the back of the bed lol i couldnt even see him by my side while my mother was on the other side talking me through it the whole time! it helped a lot

in my first marriage, with both my children, i had my husband and parents in there with me, some friends, but no friends when i delivered.

now that i am divorced and have moved on to a fabulous relationship, we are expecting our first child together, i will be having my boyfriend,the babys dad, and my two older children, there 18 and 16, as well as his daughter who is 15.

the children know how important it is for me to have them in there with me, but i told them that if they want to leave at any point and time they are more then welcome to leave the delivery room.

No one this time around. The first time it was a student nurse who was doing her studies and I signed a paper saying that she would be allowed to participate in the birth of my child in order to finish her student studies. Also my husband was there too. They where both a huge help. But this time with the twins I will not be able to have anyone with me. My mom is my adoptive mother and never has experienced any type of child birth. She was so stressed out at the hospital just seeing the machines that she created a scene bad enough security walked her out of the hospital. I don't want that again and also my mother can not be trusted to even watch my daughter during a stressful situation. My husband's family will be with their daughter during her child's delivery instead of mine. So my husband will be taking care of my daughter while I have the twins with no support. Good luck to you all that are close to delivering.

I delieved my daughter with only my husband in the room. My brother, a friend, and my mom came to the hospital after the delivery to see her. I would suggest to call family after the delivery and tell them how things went then invite them separatly to come see the baby and your husband can always walk down the hall or something while their visiting.

When i had my first child, my mother and grandma were there. I am now married and I live four hours away from my mom. Really and truly I'd only like for my husband to be in there with me.
