Last week I had asked what to do about stretch marks and the itchy tummy. Well I have found my miracle cream. It is palmers coco butter. It has made my stomach not be so itchy and hopefully I will not be showing to many stretch marks. Hope you all are having a good weekend.
sadly nothing worked for my first pregnancy either ... i think it truly depends on how fast your belly grows. Hopefully this one will leave me with no additoinal stretch marks.
"Getting rid of stretchmakrs" is a myth. Nothing will ever really get rid of them. It doesn't matter if it's pregnancy or losing excess weight. They may lighten to the point that only you will see them, but it STRETCHED out. The best thing to do to "get rid" of them is work out as soon as possible after pregnancy. The cocoa butter adn aloe vera will only prevent itching, which can prevent scratching. Scratching and rubbing can enhance stretchmarks so even though it's still good to use and aid for itching don't let yourself think if you keep using it after your delivery that one day they will magically clear up. It's a harsh reality, but that's what we women signed on for when we got pregnant. Congrats on not scratching, though. Less stretchmarks, woohoo!
I've been using this and at 33 weeks no stretch marks. I love the smell of it too and my doctor comments every time I come in that I don't have any yet! SO SO happy

I think of stretch marks as a reminder of my past, before my pregnancy and during it. The itching was terrible though at times, definately helps to keep the skin hydrated. But as another poster had stated, it is a myth that your stretch marks can disappear. They can lighten.
after you have your little one palmers u maybe surprised to see did not help. I used Palmers with all my pregnancies though during your pregnancy try to just let water and soap run over your belly for less itching use tone it has coca butter in the bar it is less expensive. After you have your little one Dr. Oz has recently said there is one cerum besides plamers that will help afterwards.

I have the worst stretch marks right now and from all the positive things im hearing about this coc butter i think i might try it and hope it works for me cause everthing else that i tryed did not work.
I have used Mary Kay's Targeted Action Toning Lotion on my stretch marks on my legs. It significantly lightened them plus helped tone my skin. It also kept the itching away from my belly. I don't have any stretch marks there. Hopefully after pregnancy #4 it stays that way.
There is no way to stop yourself from getting stretch marks. Coco butter does help the itching but thats about it! I've read quite a few articles on this and they all say the same thing! There is no way to prevent stretch marks. but keeping your belly and sides hydrated by using lotion and drinking lots of water will pretty much calm your mind and maybe help to keep the stretch marks to a minimum! Also i read that if your mother had stretch marks or your sister than you are probably going to get them as well. I get asked quite a bit if im having twins or if im going to "pop" any day now. I am 27 weeks and am very big for 27 weeks plus im a small person anyways only being 5ft and weighing about 110 before i got pregnant, i use coco butter everyday like clockwork i put it on several ties a day and guess what i still have stretch marks. yes they may only be on my sides but the coco butter only helped to stop my itching, not me getting stretch marks!!
Another one of my favorites is called MotherLove Salve. It's completely organic. However, I used it with both my pregnancies before, during, after and applied it religiously throughout the day and didn't get one stretch mark!

Mother's Friend. No lies that is what it is called. It smells just like baby's johnson and johnson lotion, super old school remedy. Can be found at CVS stores an a jar with a blue label. the jar is white. Lotion is pink. Instant itch relief and I've not even got a hint of a stretch mark and neither did my mother, or grandmother before me. Its like they never had children. It will even minimize scars left behind from c-sections (applied after it has made a full wound recovery of course). And its safe to use on the baby if you have some left over. Apply to legs from hip line to knee, stomach and sides all the way around to your back and on your chest. It even is getting my puberty stretch marks to be less pronounced. A cheaper form of that scar minimizer and a lot more product for the price. Between $9-$13.
I've been using coco butter and lately coconut oil. I can't see any stretch marks, hopefully it stays that way! I think it's just important to keep your skin hydrated by using lotion multiple times during the day and drinking lots of water!
