Hi this will be my fourth child and the baby is measureing at 10 weeks and my uteras and 15 which has never in all of my pregnancies happened before I gained weight the first 2 months and they even said i was 8 pounds over for only being not that far along, but i recently have become so nauses that i have a hard time even eating...i have to kinda force myself to eat...and i have even lost a few lbs...I thought maybe i was haveing twins but they said no unless they missed one(which could have happen cause my first u/s was at 7 weeks)....any suggestions on how i can get myself to eat? is this ok? am i just being a worry bug?...im just worried cause im high risk my first son past after a few hours after birth from pulminary hypoplasia...my daughter was born a little early and was in and outta the hospitals and my littlest son was the only healthy peanut i had...so I want a healthy baby ...i quit smoking i dont drink, and i try to eat as healthy as i can seeing as i have to be on a gluten and wheat free diet and can only tolerate a litttle bit of lactade....any suggestions are welcome, except the ones that tell me to go to a dr. cause i dont think that will help very much seeing as my insurance dont cover half the meds he prescribes...

Re: Hungry but so nauseated i cant eat..worried about weight gain...
I know how nausea can cause issues early in pregnancy. With my twin pregnancy, I lost weight for the first 17 weeks because I was so sick, but still managed to gain PLENTY of weight (the number is a little shocking!)
I think the key is to eat small amounts as often as possible. I couldn't imagine eating a whole meal, but a small yogurt or a few crackers at a time was manageable. If you do that all day, you should be able to get in plenty of nutrients.

I started to get nauseated at 24 weeks and was having trouble finding anything that I WANTED to eat I tried different foods and it was still there. After I did some reading on the internet I decided to try Canada Dry Ginger Ale. It worked for me and soon I was passed my nausea bump and didn't need the Ginger Ale anymore.

I do green smoothies when I'm nauseated...its slow going cause I can only drink little bits at a time through the day, but very nutritious and great me and the baby. There are TONS of recipes all over the internet, and you can use fresh or frozen fruits and veggies. Kale, bananas, blueberries, OJ and strawberry yogurt is my favorite...tastes great, and packed with goodies.
Eating this way also takes my mind off the weight issue entirely, because I know that whether I'm gaining or losing, I'm still providing good nutrition for my little one, and THAT is the important thing.

My friend has gone through the same thing with her pregnancy. Her doctor put her on a Gatorade and Ensure diet so that as long as she couldn't eat, she was at least still getting the nutrients and things she needed. Hope that helps:/. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss..
I lost 5 pounds during the first 2 months and didn't finish gaining that back for another 2 months. My doctor said I was fine. I too have struggled with forcing myself to eat this whole pregnancy. Even now that I am 35 weeks I have to remind and force myself to eat. My doctor says focus on quality, not quantity. If you can't get alot done and can't eat often, plan your meals to be packed full of balanced nutrition. Get your grains, your proteins, etc when you eat; and stocking up on the vitamins in addition to a prenatal will help fill in the gaps. :)
