Hey everyone, I am five months preganant and very new to all of this. And I don't really have anyone to help me through it or give me guidance, I am 19 years old and finding this all very new. I was wondering when will I start to feel kicking, I'm already feeling little movements, but I want to be prepared, I hear kicking can hurt, is there anything you can do to ease the pain? Also what about diapers? Where's the best place to get good but cheap diapers?
you have lots of questions but this will be a great learning experience for you. Im 23 & i had the same questions in mind, right now im 30 weeks :) Kicks can be a lil painful but it isnt kicks all the time baby could be stretching or just moving around since its very small & they trying to expand.Diapers i heard will definitely cost you if not that then formula. Best place to get diapers will be like stores that sell in bulks then your local supermarkets unless or sale. & I wouldnt get cheap diapers cuz you dont want your child breaking out in rash or etc. Hope this helps
I am a mother of a 4 year old and soon to be a new baby boy (due in September) When I was buying diapers for my daughter I would get the boxes of pampers at Walmart... sams club or costco sell big boxes of huggies, Also at babies r us they sell really big boxes. Start saving coupons for diapers and any formula you see. The kicking I can't remembe from my daughter, but my son is poking a lot and stretching. It doens't hurt it just feels like a flutter. Kind of weird. Hope this helps!!!!

Do you know if the coupon points thing really works or is it best to just use regular coupons from sales in the newspaper? I signed up for the huggies and pampers rewards programs but I have no idea how to use them. Also I keep feeling those little movements to like fluttering. Thank you! it was helpful.
Right now I am on medicaid currently so I'm not completely sure but I think that we will be getting free formula, I'm not sure if they'll help us with diapers but most likely those I have to buy myself, its so hard though because right now both me and my boyfriend are out of work. Thats why I need all the help I can get. Yeah that's what I hear to buy diapers in bulk, and that's why I ask I definitly do not want diapers that will be cheap and harm the baby. Thanks for the info helps alot!
Another thing you can also apply for its WIC, that will help you in the beginning with some products like bread, eggs, peanut butter, & when the baby comes you will be able to get formula im not sure what else you will get after the baby comes im still in that process. the coupon points works they send you things in the mail & on your email.but save as much coupons as you can :) dont stress yourself you will be fine !!!
good to know, I am already applying for wick just confused on how it works. Thanks for the information, and yes I'm trying not to get stressed out about anything just hard sometimes.
Just go in any WIC office near you and tell them that your pregnant and they will schedule u an appt.
i use babiesRus diapers its really cheap plus it works better than huggies or pampers and sometimes they are on sale for only 10$ 100 plus pcs. 200 plus pcs is only 25$ compare to 45$ 100 plus pcs. Pampers and ask for their rewards cards so u can earn points too
WIC will also give you a free breast pump if you are planning on breastfeeding. They also offer free classes in nutritional guidence and stuff that will help you with your baby during and after pregnancy.

Hi! My name is kristina and i totally understand how you feel. I was 19 with my son.. i went into the army to go to college and get my life on track. I was at my military school for about 3 weeks and i started dating my now husband lol. We were only dating 3 weeks and had sex and then 4 weeks later i found out i was pregnant. I was very scared and new and didnt know what to do or think. I was 135 pounds when i got pregnant with my son and when they induced me to have him i was 204 pounds. I went through 31 hours of labor and i didnt feel a thing.. i got the epidural at 3 cm. and then i went from 4 cm to 10 cm in an hour and a half. It all deoends on the person and how their body reacts to the medicine. I love pampers. but i used whats in my budget which i use parents choice diapers from walmart. they are the off brand of pampers. they work very well. When it come to kicking. my son kicked me so hard i had bruises the size of quarters on my stomach but not all the time.. only when i got close to being due.. i used a heating pad to keep him from kicking.. or i put head phones on my stomach wiht music.. it worked! Feel free to contact me about any questions you may have i know what its like hunni. <3

also see if your health department offers a program that will help with your mileage to and from the doctors offices. There also may be a caring pregnancy center in your neighborhood that you and your partner can earn mommy money or daddy dollars to help you earn items the baby will need. My daughter is just over 23 weeks pregnant. She does WIC, MIHP ( that's the mileage program) plus they have the nutritionalist, nurse and resource person to talk to. She also is earning Mommy money from the pregnancy center. Also check with your medicaid program if they have put you on a plan on then straight medicaid there might be a mileage reimbursement through there. As far as diapers as everyone has stated use coupons and buy when on sale. We have done that and my mom is making her 2 dozen cloth diapers and babies R us has the plastic pants.
every1 pregnancy is different. every one starts to feel kicks earlier then other. depends on your body. weight gained. ect. and being a first pregn could take 22 plus weeks. however a second time preg can be 16-18 weeks but some small frame women feel like a second time pregnancy. i know online can be great to try and get answers but id really ask your doctor for any big things and not take advice from people on here. however smaller thigns like peoples expeirances that not a bad place to get answers too. being a first time pregnancy mom to be is very exciting and overwhelming. but once you have him or her in your arm it is so worth it all and the best expeirance and god send too. i very life changhing expeirance that will forever complete you. if you need any person to get you through or ask questions on small things i def dont mind answering anything like what i expeiranced.
target has up diapers very cheaper. walgreens has good deals. even buy one get ones. and a lot of coupons online and from the sites like pampers and other top brands. i believe its huggies or pampers has a link on there website about where you can apply for places locally to help you with diapers. if you apply for wic maybe they can help you too. most states have tanf. and every pregnant women gets 3 months worth at the last trimester regardless of income. you get it just being pregnant. that could help stock you up on alot of stage (1-4) diapers.
Unfortunately, there are not many if any at all programs to help out with diapers. I really like the pampers diapers because I didnt have a problem with leakage, however, every baby is shaped differently. My sister loves the target brand diapers because they are inexpensive and she says they don't leak. Regardless of the brand, it might be helpful to keep your eyes open for sales starting now and stock up a pile. Pick up a package or two when you have a little extra money that week so that you get a break from buying later on. Don't buy too many of the newborn size as they will outgrow them quickly. WIC is available in every state and will help you with formula and or breast pumps if you choose to breast feeed. However, WIC usually will not give you enough formula for the entire month so I recommend going to the Similac and Enfamil websites. Sign up and when the time to have your baby gets closer they will send you lots of coupons and free sample cans. (same size as the smaller powder cans in the stores). Talk to your nurse at the hospital and they too will usually hook you up with as many of the free samples of diapers and formula as they are able. (the diaper and formula companies give many hospitals bulk samples to hand out to ppl for free).
hey, thank you for all the advice. me and my boyfriend also went out for only about two months before i found out i was pregnant. but we both wanted to have the baby, he has been really excited and comes to every appointment, and hes always talking to the baby and rubbing my belly. thanks for all the information, without it i would be lost, i have no clue what we're going to do when it comes to buying things for the baby. but im sure we'll find a way. i was about 140 when i first got pregnant, i hope i don't put on to much weight though, and the delivery is what scares me the most. well i will make sure to try out the walmart diapers they seem like a good idea. i keep feeling the little movements of the baby, lol, i cant wait to see what the kicking feels like. thanks for your help! =)
i have been trying to look for good coupons, but i dont know what sites are the best and im really not used to doing the shopping in the family, my mom usually takes care of that, so its hard to know what coupons and which ones work and how many you can use. i sitll have to make the appointment for wic, thanks for the helpful information =)

medicaid does not provide free formula. WIC will. also you may have to try a couple different formulas before finding the right one. im a new mother of a 2 month baby boy and let me tell you it can be difficult but its all worth it in the end.
