i have the convertible car seat it just one car i seat in one. I really love it. 

Thanks, Seity - we are in the same position - he's outgrown the infant carrier at 16 mos by LENGTH, but is teeny and not even 20 lbs yet, so we are (I am) thinking that we'd have plenty with a max of 40 lbs if we get just the convertible and not the all-in-one.  :-)

We had an infant seat to start with. When they are young it's nice to be able to take them seat and all and just have a base in the car. Now we have a convertable to 65lbs. He was just a titch, so he didn't outgrow his infant seat until 15/16 months. He's 27 months and 25lbs, so I doubt he'd even hit the 40lb mark before he no longer needs the seat, but it's nice to know it goes up to 65 just in case.

I have the Evenflo Symphony 65 for my 2.5 year old ... we got it when we were about to have another little one and we wanted her infant carseat for her sister ... she was about 5 days shy of 18 months when she pretty much outgrew her infant carseat which was perfect timing for us to pass her infant carseat down and get her a new one!!! Like you I did some pretty time consuming research on carseats i had been researching them for about 5-6 months before I actually purchased one! Finally I decided on the Evenflo Symphony 65 in flamenco pattern because the safety far exceeded federal regulations and it had the easy sure latch system so i didn't have to use the seat belt and locking clip anymore (and I'm 100 pounds so its difficult for me to get it tight with the seat belt)  it was super super easy to install even 8.5 months pregnant it took me about 5-10 minutes!!! I love that it can be rear facing forward facing and even booster seat... the weight limit is 5-100lbs which i didn't find on too many other seats at the time i was looking!! I also love that its a large sturdy seat but it doesn't take up the whole backseat of our GMC Acadia... and we are still able to have the front seat pushed way far back and it doesn't interfere with the seat at all, where as seats like the Graco My Ride or whatever it is is HUGE and bulky and takes up a very large amount of room and its almost impossible to get around it and even in some cars see over it!! I Love how easy it is to adjust the straps and the chest clip is super secure there is no way my toddler could ever figure out how to get it undone which is a big deal for me since i really worry about her getting out of her seat while were driving!! I've read that with the Graco chest clips its very easy for the kids to un do them and get out and I can see how that would be very true because we have a graco infant seat for our 13 month old and the clip is so easy to get undone i'm even worried about her undoing it these days!! And its sooo easy to take the cover off and wash it, you dont have to un thread the straps and re thread them which is a pain!! The comfort of this seat is amazing My toddler tells me "I comfy mommy" and she tells me all the time that she wants to go in her carseat and how much she loves it!! Oh it also has 3 recline positions for maximum comfort!  It also comes with a little pillow for supporting the head while its rear facing and then comes with a really cushy butt pillow that makes them extra comfortable and the butt pillow comes right off for easy washing as well!!! I love this seat so much that I've been looking at another one to get for my 13 month old because shes getting close to the height limit for her infant carseat ... I am definately getting another one of this seat just in a different color!!!!! I highly recommend this seat to anyone!!!
