I drank 1 cup of coffee every day through out my whole pregnancy. My ob said it was perfectly fine as long as i didn't intake more than 200 mg of caffeine. So i switched any soda for caffeine free, and stuck to my 1 cup. My son is 3 months old and is healthy and he seems to reach milestones earlier than the doctors say he should.

I don't limit my coffee during pregnancy. I have 9 very healthy children and am 28 weeks pg with #10. My first was a premie and I believe that was directly due to stress and a poor diet (in other ways than caffeine). The rest were term and are between 19 and 28 months apart, all singles.
So, in my experience, caffeine has not been an issue. Your mileage may vary.

Mom of 10.

i just discovered on the news caffeine intake can be useful to baby and mom in the sense you control your intake inother words you may have up to 240 milegrams of caffein or more if wit milk equal to 2 cups daily or mugs. if decaffe then in a cup its 28 milegram meaning you can have 5 cups but wisely i preffer with cheese crackers or whole wheat bread. later it helps fight with alzhemiers improves brain memory and of course keeps you awake bottomline keep it limited especially sodas chocolates sweets
