How to Add Text To Your Instagram Photos
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013
Instagram is one of the best ways to make mediocre pictures look beautiful AND share them with your friends. But Instagram is still a fairly limited application. There have been many times that I’ve wanted to add a bit of text to an Instagram photo, and Instagram just doesn’t allow me to do that.
That’s where a neat little app called Overgram comes in.
Overgram enables you to add gorgeous text to a photo for sharing on Instagram.
Here’s how it works. Once you open the app, you’re prompted to either take a new photo or choose one from your library. You’ll be presented with a really cool and easy-to-use wheel interface to add text to the photo. The free version of Overgram comes with about ten standard fonts – all of them visually stunning. If you upgrade to the full version of Overgram (called simply Over) for $.99, you’ll get access to even more fonts. For just $1 more, you can unlock about 200 fonts.
The scroll wheel interface lets you change the color, size, font and alignment of the text. Want to move it around on the photo? Simply drag and drop it where you want it to go.
Once you’re happy with the photo and text placement, you can save the photo or share it to Instagram.
Each photo is watermarked with the Overgram logo in the lower right-hand corner. Upgrading removes the watermark. Overgram is a really simple, but beautiful app that helps you do so much more with your Instagram photos! If you are an Instagram fan, you’ll love what this app can do! Overgram is currently available for iOS.
