Mothers Day 2013 is in the books, and we hope all the EverydayFamily mamas had a wonderful day! If we were to guess, we’d say celebrity moms got the royal treatment on Mother’s Day, too (as if they don’t’ get the royal treatment every day!) Here’s how some of our favorite Hollywood mamas spent their day.
Giuliana Rancic’s road to motherhood was not easy. After going through fertility treatments, suffering a miscarriage, and being treated for breast cancer (found as a result of the fertility treatments), Giuliana Rancic and hubby Bill welcomed their first son, Duke, to the family through gestational surrogate late last year. On her first Mother’s Day, Giuliana spilled the details about her son’s spunky personality. “Right now, his personality is kind of a split between Bill and I….when he wants something really bad, the fiery little Italian comes out.” Bill surprised Giuliana with a peridot birthstone necklace (Giuliana and Duke share an August birthday) as an early Mother’s Day present. On the big day itself, Giuliana said she was going to completely unplug and enjoy her little family.
Met Gala 2013 Recap: Fabulous Punk Couture or Themed Party Gone Wrong?

Did you think prom days ended after high school? That might be the case for us normal people, but for celebrities, the Met Gala is just as glitzy as their high school prom.
The Met Gala, held at the fabulous Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, is a fundraiser for the Met’s Costume Institute and one of fashion’s biggest nights. Each year since 1948, celebrities dress in their most outrageous outfits (fitting with the theme of the year) and walk the red carpet.
This year’s theme, “Punk: Chaos to Couture”, was hosted by Vogue Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, and celebrities certainly dressed the part. As you can imagine with a theme like that, celebrities dressed to impress – or at least dressed to be talked about on the internet the next day! While there were many stars who looked glamorous (Jennifer Lawrence in a strapless tea length black beaded Dior dress) sexy (Gisele Bundchen in a one-sleeved cutout Anthony Vacerello gown) and sweet (Carey Mulligan in a backless Balenciaga frock), others left us wondering one thing: why?
Sarah Jessica Parker knows a thing or two about style, especially after she spent years as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex in the City, but she outdid herself Monday night with her take on the punk theme. SJP showed up in a feathered Philip Treacy headpiece that was the talk of the ball. She paired the headpiece with a patterned Giles Deacon gown and knee-high tartan boots. Beyonce took a break from mommy-ing Blue Ivy to stroll down the red carpet (as the last to arrive, of course) in a black dress with orange and red fiery from Givenchy. The look included matching boots that peeped through the high-leg slit in the dress. Overkill, or just enough?

More stars are turning to professional help for mental health disorders before it becomes too late; the latest to step through the rehab center doors for a mental health disorder is Catherine Zeta-Jones, who is seeking treatment for Bipolar II disorder. The 43-year-old Academy Award winner checked into a 30-day program on April 29 as a proactive measure. Catherine Zeta-Jones completed a stay in a treatment center in 2011, and source says this stay is “maintenance” for her condition. Our thoughts are with her during her stay.

Lights, camera…sirens? Yep, stars and the law go together like peanut butter and jelly. Here are this week’s latest on celebrities, lawyers, and cops!
A fun night out turned into a brush with the law for America’s Sweetheart, Reese Witherspoon, and her husband, CAA Agent Jim Toth. The couple was arrested and briefly jailed early Friday morning in Atlanta after Jim Toth was seen swerving into the wrong lane in a silver Ford Focus and was pulled over by police just after midnight. Jim Toth, who married Reese Witherspoon in 2011, appeared disheveled and smelled of alcohol according to a police report. As Jim performed a sobriety test, Witherspoon, a passenger in the car, became increasingly agitated, sticking her head outside the car window and taunting the police.
Ozzy and Sharon's Separate Lives; Paris Jackson Speaks Out

No two families are alike, and that’s especially true in the celebrity world! Today we have news from lots of celebrity families.
For 30 years, Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne have somehow made their marriage work, but earlier this week, TMZ was reporting a possible end to this beautiful, odd, modern day fairytale. The website reported Ozzy and Sharon were living apart (Sharon at the Beverly Hills hotel and Ozzy at a rented home several miles away.) Within hours, Ozzy shared a candid post to his Facebook wall explaining the mysterious spit. “For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place….I’m happy to say that I am now 44 days sober,” the 64-year-old rocker wrote. He went on to apologize to his family, friends, fans, and band mates and set the record straight: the couple is not divorcing.
Halle Berry is Pregnant; Shania Makes a Comeback

Glitz, glam and baby bumps are all part of this week’s Celebrity Gossip Roundup.
Not long ago, Halle Berry talked about her daughter Nahla’s prayers for a sibling – and it looks like her wishes worked! News broke late last week that Halle, 46, is expecting her second child. This will be the first child with fiancé Olivier Martinez, 47. Halle told CNN the pregnancy was a shock to the couple: “This has been the biggest surprise of my life….I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me.” The pregnancy announcement comes on the heels of an explosive argument between the couple and waiting paparazzi at LAX last week (resulting in Halle physically restraining an angry Olivier.) The new baby (reportedly a boy, although other reports say Halle is 12 weeks along) will add a new dimension to the already dramatic family dynamic; Halle and Olivier have a contentious relationship with Nahla’s father (and Halle’s ex) Gabirel Aubry. Congrats to the couple and for Nahla, who will finally get the baby brother or sister she’s been longing for!

Really, can Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard be any cuter? Kristen Bell gave birth to her first child, a little girl she named Lincoln Bell Shepard, last Thursday. The couple has been together since late 2007 and got engaged in 2010, and announced the pregnancy in November 2012. Dax Shepard, start of NBC’s Parenthood Tweeted the birth announcement in his usually silly way: “She has mom’s beauty and dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!” Kristen Bell responded with her own pithy birth announcement: “My new roommate poops her pants and doesn’t pay rent…basically Dax pre-sobriety.” The family who laughs together, stays together! Here’s to lots of laughing and loving for this sweet new addition.
Ahh, the lifestyles of the rich and fabulous: baby edition. Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of hip-hop impresario Jay Z and singer Beyonce, surely will get anything she wants in life, and maybe some things she doesn’t necessarily WANT…like a tot-sized custom initialed directors chair! Beyonce, 31, posted a shot on Instagram of her director’s chair, emblazoned with the world tour logo, along side a tiny Blue-sized version with the initials BIC. Although Blue Ivy will be accompanying Beyonce on this tour, she wants her 14-month-old daughter to experience a normal childhood out of the spotlight as she grows. “At some point it’s very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and life and do all the things that any child should be able to do,” Beyonce told People. But for now? Blue will be sitting pretty off-stage!
A normal childhood is something every kid should have at some point – or they might end up like Justin Bieber!

Gwyneth Reveals Miscarriage; Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough Call it Quits

Celebrities can get their hearts broken just like us. Today we’ll look in on a few celebrities who have experienced all kinds of heartache, from miscarriages to breakups to legal woes.
Even the brightest star couples can burn out, a cliché actress and former Dancing with the Stars professional Julianne Hough learned after her breakup with entertainment mogul Ryan Seacrest. Unnamed sources told People magazine the couple of two years had called it quits due to Ryan Seacrest’s hectic work schedule. Ryan, an apparent workaholic (host of American Idol; host of a popular syndicated radio show; owner of a television production company responsible for such hits as “Keeping up with the Kardashians” and “Shahs of Sunset”) had a schedule that didn’t seem to mesh with Julianne’s. Although Ryan gushed about Julianne only two months ago on Chelsea Lately, the sources say the couple is living apart. Reps for Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacrest both declined to comment.
Jessica's Having a Boy; Taylor Swift Brings Controversy

New babies, unplanned announcements and a good old-fashioned feud – that sums up the week in celebrity news!
Jessica Simpson will be trading in the pink ruffles for baby blue when her baby is born later this year! Jessica and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, will be blessed with a baby boy, joining big sister Maxwell. Jessica has played coy about the gender of baby #2 during her recent talk show rounds, and accidently spilled the news during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. While dishing about her perpetual morning sickness, Jessica Simpson said, “The crazy thing is, I never knew a wiener could make me nauseous.” After she realized what she said, she added, “Well, I guess I just told the world that I’m having a boy!” How’s that for a creative (if unplanned!) pregnancy announcement?
It’s been awhile since we experienced a good, old-fashioned feud between celebrities. Luckily, controversy courting Taylor Swift gave women everywhere something to talk about after she dissed Golden Globes hosts Amy Pohler and Tina Fey for making Taylor the butt of one of their jokes. During the ceremony in mid-January, Tina Fey and Amy Pohler joked that Taylor should “stay away” from Michael J. Fox’s son Sam, who was Mr. Golden Globes at this year’s ceremony. Taylor responded in a Vanity Fair article by quoting Madeleine Albright: “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.” Amy Pohler responded that she would be going to hell, but for other reasons (“Mostly boring tax stuff”), while Tina Fey said “I feel bad if she was upset” (the classic non-apology!)
