Lauren Gottschalk-Scher

After earning her bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Hampshire College, Lauren Gottschalk-Scher went on to study fashion design at Parsons School of Design. She worked as a fashion designer for 6 years in New York City before having a baby and a subsequent change of heart. Unable to leave her young son while she worked long hours every day, she instead left the big city and moved with her family to Northampton, Massachusetts where she now works as a birth doula, freelance designer, and a freelance writer.
