Not with food in his hands.. I really don't like dogs around young children at all. If the dog feel hurt or threatened it will bit them regardless of how much they love the child.

Bring home the little beanie from hospital first before baby comes home. We did this for our 2 dogs and they adjusted well because they knew his scent.
